A historic relic from the 1971 India–Pakistan War continues to remind the world of India’s decisive victory. Pakistani commander Lt Gen A.A.K. Niazi’s Mercedes-Benz staff car, used just before his surrender in Dhaka, was taken by the Indian Army as a war trophy. The car is preserved at Fort William, Kolkata, symbolizing the surrender of over 90,000 Pakistani troops on December 16, 1971. 🇮🇳
