At Traihan Mor in Bashona village, Kullu district, the HRTC bus they were riding in overturned, resulting in the accident.
On June 14, 2023, two separate accidents in the Himachal Pradesh districts of Kullu and Hamirpur resulted in the deaths of two people and the injuries of 24 others.

The Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus that the passengers were riding in rolled down the road at Traihan Mor in Bashona village of Bhuntar, killing two people there and injuring five others, including the driver.

Godawari (40) and Vijay Kumar (32), both residents of the Kullu district, were named as the deceased, according to the police. The bus was travelling between Narogi and Bhuntar.
