🕊️ A 10-Point Plan for Israel: Steps Toward Lasting Peace with Palestine 🕊️

While recent peace proposals focus on Gaza, true peace means addressing Israel’s role with equal urgency. Here’s what needs to happen to put Palestinians and Israelis on the path to justice and coexistence:

Deradicalize Israeli Politics & Society
Israeli leaders and society must reject the ongoing celebration of violence and promote tolerance and coexistence in schools and institutions.

Reform the Israeli Military
End the entrenched dehumanization of Palestinians. Israel’s army needs a new code of conduct based on international humanitarian law.

Hold Leaders Accountable at the International Criminal Court
Evidence gathered on military actions must be used to prosecute Israeli political and military figures for war crimes.

Lift the Gaza Siege
End the blockade by land, air, and sea. Allow free movement of people and goods to restore Gaza’s lifeline.

Deploy International Observers in Gaza
To prevent abuses by any party, neutral international forces must monitor and ensure protection.

Stop and Criminalize West Bank Settlements
Following the 2024 International Court of Justice ruling, Israel must halt all settlement activities and recognize their illegality.

Demilitarize and Deoccupy West Bank & Jerusalem
Remove military infrastructure that fractures Palestinian communities and denies their homeland rights.

End Administrative Detention & Release Palestinian Prisoners
Thousands are held without trial. Israel must stop arbitrary detention and free those imprisoned unjustly.

Negotiate the Palestinian Right of Return
Israel must engage in direct talks addressing the return and rights of Palestinian refugees, involving UN bodies and civil society.

Investigate Israel’s Public Diplomacy Efforts
Transparency needed on Israel’s $150m+ campaigns aimed at shaping global opinion and restricting Palestinian solidarity movements.

🌍 Why this matters:
This plan challenges Israel’s policies directly, urging accountability and justice — the foundation of true peace. Global public opinion is shifting, demanding Israel take responsibility beyond temporary ceasefires.

✊ The Palestinian cause is central to wider Middle East peace. Until these core issues are tackled, lasting peace will remain out of reach.

Madagascar Names New Prime Minister Amid Ongoing Protests for Third Week 🚨🇲🇬

Madagascar is facing mounting unrest as protests demanding government reform enter their third week. In response to the widespread demonstrations, President Andry Rajoelina has appointed Ruphin Fortunat Zafisambo, a military general, as the new prime minister on Monday — just a week after dissolving his previous government. But protesters aren’t backing down, with many now calling for Rajoelina himself to resign.

What’s Fueling the Protests?

The unrest initially sparked over water and electricity cuts but quickly evolved into a larger movement against government corruption and mismanagement. Daily power outages, sometimes lasting over eight hours, have left much of Madagascar in the dark—literally and figuratively. Only about a third of the country’s 30 million people have access to electricity, according to the IMF.

People have been struggling without refrigeration for medication and clean water for basic hygiene, frustrations compounded by allegations of corruption at Jirama, the state energy company.

Transparency International’s global vice-chair, Ketakandriana Rafitoson, summed it up:
“These protests were triggered by visceral grievances that go to the heart of daily life.”

Protests Turn Violent

What started peacefully on September 25 with thousands taking to the streets and erecting barricades quickly escalated after police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets in the capital, Antananarivo. Shops were looted and some lawmakers’ homes damaged. In response, authorities imposed a curfew to stop evening gatherings, but tensions remain high.

Reports say that police used tear gas against mostly university students during Monday’s protests. Demonstrations have also taken place in other cities like Toliara and Antsiranana (Diego Suarez), where police and protesters have clashed.

Human Cost & Government Response

The United Nations reports at least 22 people killed and over 100 injured since protests began, though the government disputes these figures.

Despite the unrest, government spokespersons say they have tried to engage protesters but have been met with no clear leadership to negotiate with. Meanwhile, Rajoelina has refused to step down, accusing his opponents of trying to “destroy our country.”

Who is Andry Rajoelina?

Rajoelina, 51, rose to power in a 2009 military coup promising reform. He briefly stepped down in 2014 but returned to power after winning the 2018 election. Once a DJ and media tycoon, he now faces perhaps the biggest test of his rule as Madagascar grapples with deep-rooted economic and social issues.

What’s Next?

With the appointment of a new prime minister, many wonder if this move will calm the unrest or if it will add fuel to the fire. The youth-led group Gen Z Madagascar, organizing much of the protest, is pushing for deeper change — and they’re not backing down anytime soon.

Nairobi’s ‘Birdman’: The Street Hero Rescuing Raptors and Hearts 🦅❤️

Shouts of “Birdman! Birdman!” echo through the bustling streets of Nairobi, turning heads and drawing crowds to one unforgettable figure — 27-year-old Rodgers Oloo Magutha, a man crowned with raptors perched on his head and shoulders. But Rodgers is much more than a street character; he’s a symbol of hope, resilience, and love for Kenya’s wild birds. 🐦✨

From Streets to Stardom

Magutha has spent much of his life on Nairobi’s streets, blending into the marginalized community of street youth who ask passersby for coins. But unlike others, Rodgers carries with him a flock of wild birds — kites, pigeons, and more — that transform how people see him. Where suspicion and fear once ruled, the birds inspire smiles, curiosity, and awe. 📸✨

“People feel unsafe when approached by us,” Rodgers explains, “but when they see the birds, everything changes. Someone angry moments ago suddenly smiles.”

His unique bond with birds made him a local celebrity last year during mass protests against rising costs and corruption when images of the “Nairobi Birdman” went viral. But there’s a deeper story behind the fame — one rooted in loss, survival, and an extraordinary connection with nature.

A Lifelong Bond with Birds

Rodgers’ love for birds started in Nakuru, a Rift Valley city famous for birdwatching. As a child, he would sneak into Lake Nakuru National Park to watch flamingos, pelicans, and other birds. He didn’t hunt like other kids but instead protected and cared for them, raising pigeons and even rescuing a flamingo. 🦩💕

At 13, tragedy struck when Rodgers lost his mother. With no stable home, he drifted to the streets of Nakuru, Mombasa, and Nairobi, surviving by selling scrap and seeking help from strangers. Along the way, birds remained his constant companions, as did a growing street family — people bound together by hardship and hope.

Life on the Streets

Living rough is tough. Cold nights, police harassment, trauma, and substance abuse are daily struggles for Rodgers and his community. Yet amidst this harsh reality, he sees potential and beauty where others might only see despair. He teaches kids to read and write and encourages them to dream beyond the streets.

“They have to believe in something better, but when you’re on the streets, it’s hard to imagine anything else,” Rodgers says.

The ‘Governor’ of the Birds

Four years ago, a wounded baby black kite stumbled into Rodgers’ circle on Moi Avenue, a moment that felt like a sign. Since then, his care for birds has grown into a mission, with Rodgers dreaming of one day opening a bird shelter to protect and nurture these majestic creatures.

His story reminds us that even in the toughest places, compassion and connection can flourish — with birds as unlikely but powerful messengers of hope.

US Sends Controversial ‘Third-Country’ Deportation Flight to Eswatini Amid Human Rights Concerns ✈️🌍

The United States has once again made headlines — and sparked outrage — after sending a second deportation flight to the tiny Southern African kingdom of Eswatini, carrying individuals who have no ties or nationality in the country. This controversial move by the Trump administration comes amid a larger mass deportation push, raising serious questions about human rights and due process. ⚠️🛑

What’s Happening?

On Monday, Eswatini’s government confirmed it had received 10 deportees from the US — none of whom are citizens of the kingdom. This follows a similar flight in July, when five people were sent there under the same “third-country” deportation practice. The White House defended the deportations, saying the individuals had committed serious crimes. However, neither the US nor Eswatini revealed the nationalities of those deported this time.

According to immigration lawyer Tin Thanh Nguyen, who’s been closely following the case, the latest group includes people from Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Nguyen also represents some of those deported, but says he has been completely cut off from communicating with them due to strict government controls in Eswatini. 😔📵

Why Is This a Problem?

Human rights groups are sounding the alarm over this practice. Many of those sent to Eswatini don’t speak the local language and have no family or community ties in the country — leaving them vulnerable, isolated, and stranded. The first group of deportees reportedly endured solitary confinement and were denied access to legal counsel, violating basic human rights and protections. 🚫⚖️

Nguyen told Reuters:

“I cannot call them. I cannot email them. I cannot communicate through local counsel because the Eswatini government blocks all attorney access.”

This raises troubling questions about what happens to these deportees once they arrive and the kind of treatment they face behind closed doors.

What Are Rights Advocates Saying?

Rights groups are urging both the US and Eswatini to reconsider this practice, emphasizing that deporting people to countries where they have no connection is not just unfair but dangerous. It puts people at risk of abuse, exploitation, and severe legal disadvantages — with no clear path to support or justice. ✊🌐

They argue that everyone deserves a fair process and humane treatment, regardless of their immigration status. The current “third-country” deportation flights seem to skirt these principles, making them a flashpoint in the ongoing debate over immigration and human rights.

Why You Should Care

This story isn’t just about a small African nation or distant US policy — it’s about human dignity and the treatment of vulnerable people worldwide. As governments tighten borders and deportation policies become harsher, the rights and voices of those caught in the middle must not be forgotten. 🗣️❤️

Will the US government change course? Will Eswatini open up access to lawyers and better treatment for the deportees? The answers remain unclear — but the international community is watching closely.

Stay informed and spread the word! ✨

🕊️ Mass Protests Across Europe & Middle East: A Global Cry to End Gaza’s Agony

| Voices Rising for Gaza

Mass demonstrations thundered from Amsterdam to Istanbul, with hundreds of thousands demanding an immediate end to what they call Israel’s genocide in Gaza. In the streets of Europe and the Middle East, protesters carried Palestinian flags, mourned the dead, and called for global accountability.

📍 Amsterdam Takes the Lead
In the Netherlands, ~250,000 people gathered at Museum Square before marching through Amsterdam’s center. Many wore red or draped themselves in Palestinian flags. Their message was clear: the Dutch government must break its silence, stop arms exports to Israel, and draw a red line.

“The bloodshed must stop … we are here because our government is too weak to stand firm,” said Marieke van Zijl, speaking to the Associated Press.

With national elections looming, public pressure is mounting. Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel has already hinted that approval for selling F‑35 jet parts to Israel is “unlikely” amid the backlash.

Amnesty International, one of the protest organizers, urged European governments to use every available diplomatic and economic tool to compel Israel to halt military actions.

🌍 Solidarity Across Borders: Turkey, Spain, Morocco, Bulgaria & Beyond

In Istanbul, protesters marched from Hagia Sophia to the Golden Horn waterfront, where boats adorned with Turkish and Palestinian flags awaited them. Many joined after midday prayers, weaving religious symbolism and political protest into one powerful display.

In Ankara, chants rose against decades of what protesters called “ongoing oppression.” At the same time, in Kirikkale, a marcher named Recep Karabal declared:

“This oppression, which began in 1948, has become genocide over two years.”

In Bulgaria’s Sofia, placards read “Gaza: Starvation is a Weapon of War” and “Gaza is the Biggest Graveyard of Children.” Protestor Valya Chalamova reflected a shared sentiment:

“Our society—and the world—needs to hear that we stand with the Palestinian people.”

In Rabat, Morocco, protesters burned an Israeli flag and demanded that the government reverse its 2020 normalization with Israel. They also called for the release of Moroccan human rights defender Aziz Ghali, detained by Israel after attempting to join a flotilla to Gaza.

Across Spain, smaller but emotionally charged rallies followed massive protests in Madrid and Barcelona, with many carrying white bundles symbolizing the bodies of children from Gaza.

💬 Ceasefire Talks and the War’s Grim Toll

Amidst these mass mobilizations, Hamas has said it accepted parts of a U.S. ceasefire proposal, but much of Gaza remains bombed-out, under siege, and in urgent need of relief.

On the ground:

Over 67,000 Palestinians are reported dead since the war began.

Gaza is verging on famine, with infrastructure decimated and aid deliveries blocked.

29 staff of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) have been killed while performing humanitarian works.

Medical centers are closing due to bomb damage or forced evacuations.

📢 Why This Matters

These protests are more than symbolic — they reflect deep, global anger and growing impatience with inaction. Citizens across continents are demanding that governments act, not stand by.

While diplomacy and ceasefire proposals are in motion, the real test is whether they can halt the bloodshed now, before many more lives are lost.

Stay with — we’ll keep bringing you on-the-ground reports, interviews, and updates from Gaza and beyond.

🚨 Deadly Clashes in Aleppo as Syrian Army, SDF Reach Fragile Truce

🇸🇾 One Killed, Civilians Injured in Latest Flashpoint
| Tensions Rise in Post-Assad Syria

📍 ALEPPO, SYRIA – Tensions flared once again in war-scarred northern Syria as deadly clashes erupted between the Syrian army and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Aleppo city, leaving one security officer dead and several others injured, including civilians.

The violence reportedly broke out in the Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafieh neighbourhoods — Kurdish-held districts in northern Aleppo — and marks a serious challenge to Syria’s fragile political transition following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad last year.

💥 What Happened?

According to state-run SANA news agency, SDF fighters attacked Syrian army checkpoints with mortar shells and heavy machine gun fire, leading to fierce rooftop gunfights. Snipers reportedly took up positions across the contested neighbourhoods.

🔴 1 member of Syria’s internal security forces was killed

🔴 3 security personnel injured

🧍‍♂️ Several civilians were also caught in the crossfire

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the affected districts are now surrounded by Syrian army reinforcements and that communications have been cut.

🕊️ Ceasefire Reached — For Now

A temporary ceasefire deal was reportedly reached late Tuesday in the affected areas. Both sides claim they’re working to de-escalate.

SANA quoted local officials saying the Syrian military has “no intention of military escalation”, and Aleppo’s governor stated that efforts were underway “to calm the situation.”

🧾 What’s Behind the Clashes?

This latest outbreak comes just months after a landmark deal — brokered by the U.S. — aimed to integrate the Kurdish-led SDF into Syrian state institutions. The agreement includes transferring border crossings, airports, and oil fields to Damascus by the end of 2025.

But the deal is stalling.

🇸🇾 Damascus accuses the SDF of delaying integration

⚔️ SDF claims the Syrian army is attempting to re-enter Kurdish zones with tanks

🛑 SDF denies having any forces in Sheikh Maqsoud and al-Ashrafieh

🇹🇷 Turkiye warns it may take action if the Kurds delay further

🗳️ A New Political Era?

This unrest shadows another pivotal moment: Syria’s first parliamentary elections since Assad’s fall. On Sunday, around 6,000 delegates voted for two-thirds of the new 210-member parliament, while President Ahmed al-Sharaa will appoint the remaining members.

The vote is being watched closely by international observers as Syria navigates a delicate post-war transition after nearly 14 years of conflict.

💬 What They’re Saying:

🗣️ SDF Spokesman Farhad Shami: “We have no forces in those neighbourhoods. These are provocations.”
🗣️ Syrian Officials: “There is no military escalation planned.”
🗣️ Syrian Observatory: “Aleppo’s Kurdish areas are surrounded, and communications are down.”

📌 As the fragile ceasefire holds, all eyes are on whether Damascus and the SDF can salvage the stalled integration deal — or whether Syria risks sliding back into renewed instability.

⚠️ Iran Hits Back After Trump Threat: “No Talks, Full Readiness” 🔥🇺🇸🇮🇷

| Tensions Surge in the Gulf

💣 The U.S. and Iran are once again on the brink. Days after former U.S. President Donald Trump threatened further strikes on Iran over its nuclear program, Tehran has responded with fury and defiance, ruling out any new negotiations and warning of a “strong response” to future aggression.

🗣️ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei on Monday called Trump’s latest threat a “criminal and illegal act”, branding the U.S. a “law-breaking country” and insisting Iran has “no plan for negotiations.”

“It will be clear to the international community and to the Iranian nation that the United States is a violator of international law.”

🚨 Trump’s Warning: “We’ll Take Care of That”
Speaking at the U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary in Virginia, Trump praised the June 22 U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, calling the operation “flawlessly executed.” The strikes targeted Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—facilities key to Iran’s nuclear program.

“They were going to have a nuclear weapon within a month,” Trump said. “Now they can start again—but I hope they don’t, because we’ll take care of that too.”

🛩️ The operation involved B-2 stealth bombers and 30 Tomahawk missiles launched from a U.S. submarine—an unmistakable show of force.

🌊 Iranian Military Fires Back
Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, issued a firm warning:

“If any move comes from the enemy, it will receive a strong response.”

He stressed that Iran’s forces remain fully prepared, referencing their performance during the 12-day war with Israel earlier this year, which briefly ignited hopes for diplomacy before collapsing under renewed violence.

⚓ Pakpour said recent naval drills across the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Indian Ocean signal Iran’s ability to deter attacks and defend its waters.

⛽ Why This Matters Globally
🛢️ The Strait of Hormuz, located in the Persian Gulf, is one of the most vital chokepoints for global oil supply. A military clash—even limited—could trigger global energy price spikes and wider instability in the Middle East.

📈 The region is already on edge after the U.S. launched Operation Midnight Hammer in June, disrupting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Iran now refuses to re-enter talks without guarantees on sanctions relief and U.S. withdrawal from hostile positions.

🔮 What Happens Next?
With both sides entrenched—Trump threatening faster action, and Iran refusing talks—diplomatic off-ramps are shrinking. The world is watching closely, especially energy markets and U.S. allies in the Gulf.

🕊️ The coming weeks may determine whether this latest round of posturing turns into negotiation or escalation.

🗨️ What They're Saying:
🔴 Trump: “No previous president had the guts to do it.”
🔴 Iran: “We have no plan for negotiations.”
🔴 IRGC: “We’re ready to respond to any threat.”

🕊️ 2 Years of War in Gaza: Civilians Still Under Fire as Ceasefire Talks Drag On 💔

| War, Wounds & Waiting for Peace

📍 Gaza Strip, Two Years Later
As the devastating war on Gaza enters its third year, deadly airstrikes, drone attacks, and civilian casualties continue without pause, despite high-level ceasefire negotiations taking place in Egypt.

Israeli forces carried out at least five airstrikes in one Gaza neighbourhood alone this week, reportedly killing three women. In eastern Gaza, a young boy was shot in the head, while six more Palestinians were killed in separate incidents across Khan Younis in the south.

🇵🇸 Palestinians say that despite the ongoing negotiations surrounding the US-proposed ceasefire plan, the reality on the ground is unchanging — bombs are still falling, lives are still being lost.

🩺 Humanitarian Crisis: 29 PRCS Staff Killed
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has confirmed that 29 of its medical staff have been killed during the conflict while performing their humanitarian duties.

This includes:

🚑 Two ambulance workers “assassinated” in January while trying to save 5-year-old Hind Rajab and her family.

Eight others who died when ambulances were struck in March.

PRCS says its teams are being “directly targeted” despite wearing the universally recognized Red Crescent emblem. Several hospitals have been forced to shut down due to damage or evacuation orders.

🕊️ World Leaders Push for Peace & Hostage Release
On this painful anniversary, several Western leaders have issued urgent calls for a ceasefire and the release of hostages held in Gaza.

🌍 Here’s what they said:

🇬🇧 UK PM Keir Starmer: “We will work with international partners until all hostages are home and peace is restored.”

🇫🇷 France’s Macron: “The release of hostages and ceasefire must happen without delay.”

🇮🇪 Ireland’s Simon Harris: “A window now exists to end this unimaginable suffering.”

🇮🇹 Italy’s Giorgia Meloni: “Trump’s plan must be used to achieve a permanent end to hostilities.”

🇦🇺 Australia’s Anthony Albanese: “We must never forget the atrocities committed by Hamas.”

🇪🇺 EU’s Ursula von der Leyen: “This moment must be seized for lasting peace based on a two-state solution.”

🚁 Drone Tensions Rise in the South
The Israeli army reported intercepting two more drones over the Eilat area, just hours after another UAV was taken down. The source of these drones remains under investigation.

🇶🇦 Qatar: “Israel Should Have Ceased Fire Already”
Qatar's Foreign Ministry accused Israel of failing to uphold the Trump-backed ceasefire plan, stating:

“If Israel truly committed to the plan, they should have already ceased fire.”

Negotiations are ongoing in Cairo, but the timeline for peace remains uncertain.

📢 will continue covering this story — from the negotiation rooms to the streets of Gaza. For updates that matter, follow us.

🧠✨ BREAKTHROUGH IN PHYSICS! Nobel Prize 2025 Goes to Quantum Trailblazers 🏆🔬

| Quantum Leaps in Science

📣 The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics has just been awarded — and this year, it's all about quantum mechanics, the mysterious science that governs the tiniest particles in the universe… and now, the future of technology! 💻🔍🌌

🏅 The winners?
A brilliant trio of US-based physicists:

John Clarke 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Michel H. Devoret 🇫🇷🇺🇸

John M. Martinis 🇺🇸

They’ve been honoured "for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling and energy quantisation in an electric circuit."

🧪 Their revolutionary work shows that quantum phenomena aren’t just for atoms and particles—they can be harnessed at the macroscopic scale, meaning real-world quantum devices are closer than ever. 🚀

💬 “The Surprise of My Life”
A stunned John Clarke said during a phone call to the Nobel press conference:

"It had never occurred to me in any way that this might be the basis of a Nobel Prize… To put it mildly, it was the surprise of my life."

And yet, their experiments laid critical foundations for quantum computing, quantum cryptography, and quantum sensors — all of which could redefine how we live, communicate, and compute.

🗣️ Clarke added:

“One of the underlying reasons that cell phones work is because of all this work.”

📱 Mind blown, right?

🌐 Why It Matters
Quantum computing is not just science fiction anymore. It’s a whole new kind of computing, capable of solving complex problems millions of times faster than today’s computers. 🖥️⚡

💡 The Nobel Committee highlighted how quantum mechanics is now “the foundation of all digital technology.” In the words of Olle Eriksson, Chair of the Physics Committee:

“It’s wonderful to celebrate the way that century-old quantum mechanics continues to offer new surprises.”

💰 The trio will split the 11 million Swedish kronor prize (roughly $1.17 million USD) and receive their gold medals from the King of Sweden at a ceremony in Stockholm on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death. 👑

🏆 A Prize with Legacy
