In the 1990s, one name echoed across Indian stock markets

Harshad Mehta.

A stockbroker who rose from a middle-class life to owning luxury cars. sea-facing penthouses, and power no one had ever imagined.

The Rise

He was called the "Big Bull" of Bombay Stock Exchange.

Harshad found loopholes in the banking system and used them to pump money into stocks skyrocketing their prices.

From ACC to Tata, shares surged only because Harshad was buying.

The Scam

But in 1992, the truth came out.

He had manipulated the banking system and siphoned off ₹4,000+

crores using fake bank receipts.

The entire market crashed... investors lost millions.

The Fall

He was arrested.

His empire collapsed.

And India saw one of the biggest financial scandals in its history.
