SHIVA'S WORLD

Lord Shiva is the great Dhyani- One who envisions things even before they come into existence, with His third eye. There was a time when this world as we know it, was not even born, but He saw it, He dreamt it. And Devi Parvati is the one who ' manifests ' that vision into a reality for Him, so we say everything is manifested by Shiva's Shakti. We live in the world that Devi created.
But amazingly, in this beautiful pic, Parvati seems to be showing Shiva another part of His own creation, a special dimension of His own world for approval, and inviting Him to enter it.
This special world which is referred to as Gyanganj, shambala, shangrila, the secret abode, does not confine itself to just the two of them, after a while, as the rishis tell us, it is open to the ganas, the tribe of Shiva, and people can enter this only through spiritual merit. The Shiva ganas call it Sivaloka. Thus too, moksha for a Shiva bhakt is not the release from the cycle of birth and death, but rather an entry into this wonderful co -existence with Shiva Himself, living in awareness of both the worlds at one time.
