Our favourite role? Being unapologetically us!

Before on-screen Girl Gangs were cool, Angry Indian Goddesses (2015) brought them to the big screen. India’s first female buddy film, produced by Jungle Book Studios, it went on to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where it won the People’s Choice Award (Runner-Up). A major part of the film was improvised, with the actors bringing their raw and authentic selves to the screen. The film went on to receive critical acclaim at dozens of other major international festivals. More than just a film, it sparked cultural conversations around gender, freedom, and what it means to be a woman in contemporary India.
