An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Phuket was diverted to Chennai on September 19 after a security threat was detected onboard. Following safety protocols, the crew alerted authorities, and the aircraft underwent thorough security checks in Chennai.

Passengers were safely deboarded, and due to a night curfew at Phuket airport, the journey resumed later that night. IndiGo assured passengers of their safety and comfort, providing refreshments and regular updates throughout the delay.

At least two Assam Rifles jawans were killed and five injured after unidentified gunmen ambushed their vehicle in Bishnupur, Manipur. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a combing operation to capture the attackers.

In the past 24 hours, six militants from banned outfits were arrested across Imphal Valley districts, with weapons and ammunition seized. Authorities continue to intensify efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.

A 16-month-old boy tragically passed away after the ambulance transporting him was stuck for over five hours in a traffic jam on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. The congestion was caused by construction work on the Thane-Ghodbunder road, leading to a long vehicle queue and road closures from 6 am to 9 pm.

The child, suffering from severe pelvic injuries, was initially treated at Galaxy Hospital in Naigaon. Doctors recommended urgent transfer to a Mumbai hospital for advanced care, but the delay in reaching the facility due to traffic ultimately resulted in his death.
