𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐚: 𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐚: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐫 (𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟏) 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭.

I still remember that Maiyar was my first film, when I was an assistant director, I didn't know how to clap. Cameraman Rafiq Sheikh was setting the exposure and in the meantime, I would get scared and clap the wrong way. Sometimes, I would stand in the wrong place and clap, seeing which lens was attached.
Jashwant Bhai once said that Ashvin was a boy of the house who needed guidance; he would stay here for 60 days and leave after completing the film. He told this to Rafiq Sheikh (the cameraman) and Hiten Kumar. At that time, it was only my third day in the film industry. After finishing a take, Hiten Kumar came up to me, placed his hand on my shoulder, and calmly explained where and how to clap. He also taught me about camera angles and lenses. With his guidance and affection, I entered the film industry as a still photographer. It was my good fortune to have the opportunity to learn from such an experienced artist in this way.
My friend Satyam Vaghasia also joined this film as a still photographer. After the shooting, both of us used to go to Hiten Bhai's room at night and show the printed pictures. Hiten Kumar would explain to us which photos were suitable for the “tone”, and then those photos would be pasted in the album for continuity.
On the day the film Mayar was completed, the production side had a big CELEBRATION and the main idea of holding this party was Hiten Kumar’s and Hiten bhai had given a special gift to the spot boy on his behalf, which was considered a very big gift at that time. I have never seen the happiness that I saw on Hiten bhai’s face that day. Back then, it was a familiar atmosphere, but today it has become a film atmosphere.
When the unit was released from LUCKY Studios in Halol, all the artists and craftsmen were crying. This film proved to be a blockbuster hit and the silver jubilee was celebrated and trophies were presented to everyone. I remember that when Raj Mahal Talkies was decorated with lighting, Aamir Khan's Hindi film "Mann" was playing on the next screen and there was such a CRAZ that no tickets were available for this film. Mayor was a family film that could be watched sitting with the family. This film received 11 awards at that time.
Hiten Kumar is not just an artist for me, but like an elder brother. He taught me a lot. When Sonba Bhabhi (Hiten Kumar's wife) came to Lucky Studio, Hitenbhai would make us sit together like a family member and serve us food. It is a matter of pride for us even today. Our friendship with Hitenbhai, who is very emotional, probably has been due to his nature. He never let me feel like a hero.
Years later, in 2022, when I started a digital marketing office in Mumbai, I am indebted to Hiten Kumar for giving me my first profile as a film star on that platform to create his IMDb profile.
Today, it has been 25 years since the film Mayor, since then we have done many films together, but we all have maintained the friendship of Gangani Film Production Group Mayor and meet frequently in Mumbai. Those memories and relationships are still fresh today.
નોસ્ટાલ્જિયા: ફિલ્મ મૈયરમાં ફિલ્મનો અનુભવ ભૂતકાળની યાદોને યાદ કરતી વખતે તે ભાવનાઓ અને ભાવનાઓથી ભરેલી સફર હતી.
મારે આજે પણ યાદ છે કે મૈયર મારી પ્રથમ ફિલ્મ હતી,એસસીસ્ટન્ટ ડિરેક્ટર ત્યારે મને ક્લેપ મારતા આવડતું નહોતું. કેમેરામેન રફીક શેખ એક્સ્પોઝર સેટ કરી રહ્યા હોય અને એ દરમિયાન હું ગભરાઈને ખોટી રીતે ક્લેપ મારી દેતો. ક્યારેક તો કયો લેન્સ લગાવેલો છે તે જોઈને હું ખોટી જગ્યા પર ઊભો રહી ક્લેપ મારી દેતો.
જશવન્ત ભાઈ એ એકવાર કહ્યું હતું અશ્વિન ઘરનો છોકરો છે તેને સિખડાવાનું છે તે 60 દિવસ અહીંયા જ રહેશે ફિલ્મ પુરી કરી ને જશે , રફીક શેખ (કેમેરામેન ) અને હિતેન કુમાર ને કહ્યું હતું, ત્યારે મારો ફિલ્મ ઇન્ડુસટ્રી માં 3જો દિવસ હતો .એ સમયે હિતેન કુમાર શૂટિંગ દરમ્યાન એક ટેક પૂરો થયા પછી મારી પાસે આવીને ખભા પર હાથ મૂકી ખૂબ શાંતિથી સમજાવતા કે ક્લેપ ક્યાંથી અને કેવી રીતે મારવી જોઈએ. અને કેમેરા એન્જલ અને લેન્સ નું પણ સાથે જ્ઞાન આપતા તેના આ પ્રેમ થી હું ફિલ્મ ઇન્ડુસટ્રી માં સ્ટીલ ફોટોગ્રાફર તરીકે પાછળ પ્રવેશ્યો. તેમના જેવા અનુભવી કલાકાર પાસેથી આ રીતે શીખવાની તક મને મળી એ મારું ભાગ્ય હતું.
મારો મિત્ર સત્યમ વઘાસિયાં પણ આ ફિલ્મમાં સ્ટિલ ફોટોગ્રાફર તરીકે જોડાયો હતો. શૂટિંગ પછી રાત્રે અમે બંને હિતેનભાઈના રૂમમાં જઈને પ્રિન્ટ થયેલી તસવીરો બતાવતા. હિતેન કુમાર અમને સમજાવતા કે કયા ફોટા “ટોન” માટે યોગ્ય છે, અને પછી એ ફોટાઓ એલ્બમમાં કન્ટિન્યુટી માટે ચોંટાડવામાં આવતા.
મૈયર ફિલ્મ પુરી થઇ તે દિવસે પ્રોડ્યૂકશન તરફ થી બહુ મોટુ CELEBRATION રાખ્યું હતું અને આ પાર્ટી રાખવાના મુખ્ય વિચારો હિતેન કુમાર ના હતા અને હિતેન ભાઈ એ તેના તરફ થી સ્પોટ બોય ને સ્પેશ્યલ ગિફ્ટ આપી હતી તે સમય ની બહુ મોટી ગિફ્ટ ગણાતી હતી .તે દિવસે મેં હિતેનભાઈ ના ચેહરા પર જે ખુશી જોઈ હતી તે મને ક્યારેય જોવા મળી નથી ત્યારે ફેમીલિયેર મહૉલ હતો આજે ફિલ્મી માહોલ બની ગયો .
હાલોલ ખાતે LUCKY સ્ટુડિઓઝ માં થી જયારે છુટા પડ્યા યુનિટ માંથી ત્યારે દરેક કલાકાર અને કસબીઓ રડી પડ્યા હતા આ ફિલ્મ ફિલ્મ બ્લોક બસ્ટર હિટ સાબિત થઇ ને સિલ્વર જ્યુબિલિ ની ઉજવણી કરી ને બધા ને ટ્રોફી અર્પણ કરી મને યાદ છે કે રાજ મહેલ ટોકીઝ લાઈટિંગ શણગારેલી ત્યારે હિન્દી ફિલ્મ આમીરખાન ની "મન " ચાલતી હતી બાજુ ની SCREEN માં અને આ ફિલ્મ માં ટિકિટ નહોતી મળતી તેવો CRAZ હતો.મૈયર ફિલ્મ ફેમિલી સાથે બેસીને જોઈ શકાય તેવી પારિવારિક હતી આ ફિલ્મ ને 11 એવોર્ડ તે સમય માં મળ્યા હતા .
હિતેન કુમાર મારા માટે માત્ર એક કલાકાર નહીં, પણ મોટા ભાઈ જેવા છે . તેમણે મને ઘણું શીખવ્યું. સોનબા ભાભી (હિતેન કુમારની પત્ની) જયારે લકી સ્ટુડિયોમાં આવતાં ત્યારે હિતેનભાઈ અમને કુટુંબના સભ્યની જેમ સાથે બેસાડતા અને ભોજન કરાવતા. એ અમારા માટે આજેય ગર્વની વાત છે.ખુબ લાગણીશીલ સ્વભાવ હિતેનભાઈ નો અમારી મિત્રતા કદાચ તેમના સ્વભાવ ને લઈને જ રહી છે ક્યારેય હું હીરો છું એવો અહેસાસ મને નથી થવા દીધો .
વર્ષો પછી, 2022માં જયારે મેં મુંબઈમાં ડિજિટલ માર્કેટિંગનું ઓફિસ શરૂ કર્યું ત્યારે સૌપ્રથમ હિતેન કુમાર જ એ પ્લેટફોર્મ પર ફિલ્મ સ્ટાર તરીકે ની પેહલી પ્રોફાઈલ તેમણે તેમની IMDb પ્રોફાઇલ બનાવડાવવા મને આપી તે બદલ તેમનો ઋણી છું .
આજે મૈયર ફિલ્મને 25 વર્ષ થઈ ગયા, ત્યારબાદ ઘણી ફિલ્મો અમે સાથે કરી છે , પણ અમે બધા લોકો ગાંગાણી ફિલ્મ પ્રોડ્કશન ગ્રુપ મૈયર ના માહોલ વાળી દોસ્તી ટકાવી રાખી છે વારંવાર મુંબઈમાં મળીએ છીએ. એ યાદો અને સંબંધો આજે પણ તાજા છે.
