Glycerin melt-and-pour soap base
(clear or white; available in craft stores or online)
Optional add-ins:
Essential oils (lavender, lemon, tea tree, etc.)
Soap colorants (mica powders or liquid colors)
Dried herbs or flower petals
Oils for nourishment (few drops of olive, coconut, or almond oil)
Tools
Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
Silicone soap molds
Stirring spoon
Knife & cutting board
Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle (to remove bubbles)
π§ͺ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut the Glycerin Base
Cut the melt-and-pour base into small cubes (about 1β2 cm).
Smaller pieces melt more evenly.
2. Melt the Base
You can melt it in:
Microwave method (easiest):
Heat for 20β30 seconds at a time
Stir between intervals
Do not let it boil
Double boiler method:
Place the cubes in a heat-safe bowl
Heat gently, stirring until fully melted
3. Add Fragrance & Color
Once melted, you can mix in:
Essential oil: 5β10 drops per 100g soap
Color: Add tiny amounts until you like the shade
Add-ins: Flower petals, exfoliants, or a few drops of nourishing oil.
Stir gently to avoid bubbles.
4. Pour Into Molds
Pour the liquid soap into your molds slowly.
Spray the top lightly with rubbing alcohol (this removes air bubbles).
5. Let It Set
Let the soap cool and harden for 5β8 hours at room temperature.
6. Remove & Store
Pop the soap out of the mold.
Wrap each bar in plastic wrap or a sealed container to prevent sweating.
πΈ Optional Variations
Honey Glycerin Soap
Add 1 tsp honey per 100g base.
Herbal Soap
Add dried lavender, rose petals, or chamomile.
Exfoliating Soap
Mix in oatmeal, coffee grounds, or poppy seeds.

Do not overheat or boil the glycerin baseβit becomes rubbery.
Use skin-safe essential oils and colorants.
Store your soap in a cool, dry place.
