शिक्षा नाम की एक युवती के माध्यम से लेखक अपने कुछ विचार इस पुस्तक में लाया ही है।इसके साथ ही मानव व मानव समाज में कुछ उन दशाओं का वर्णन इस पुस्तक में किया गया है जो ज्ञान , शिक्षा के विपरीत ही नजर आये शिक्षित समाज के मध्यम से ही। अशोकबिन्दु ठीक कहता है कि वास्तव में हम सब शिक्षित अभी सोंच, धारणा, हृदय से शिक्षित हैं ही नहीं।

लेखक का यह कथन कि "सबसे बड़ा भ्रष्टाचार शिक्षा है" एक गहरे सामाजिक और दार्शनिक दृष्टिकोण को दर्शाता है। यह सत्य हो सकता है कि समाज, अभिभावक, विद्यार्थी, शिक्षक और शिक्षा व्यवस्था से जुड़े लोग कई बार शिक्षा के मूल उद्देश्य को भटक जाते हैं। शिक्षा का असली मकसद ज्ञान, चरित्र-निर्माण और समाज के प्रति जिम्मेदारी का विकास करना है, लेकिन अक्सर यह केवल डिग्री, नौकरी या सामाजिक प्रतिष्ठा तक सीमित हो जाती है।लेखक का कहना है कि लोग शिक्षा को अपने मन, दिल, सोच और धारणाओं में नहीं उतार पाते, जिसका अर्थ है कि शिक्षा केवल बाहरी उपलब्धि बनकर रह जाती है, न कि आंतरिक परिवर्तन का साधन। यह समस्या तब और गंभीर हो जाती है जब शिक्षा व्यवस्था में भ्रष्टाचार, व्यावसायीकरण और नैतिक पतन शामिल हो जाता है। शिक्षक, जो समाज के मार्गदर्शक होने चाहिए, कई बार केवल नौकरी या लाभ के लिए काम करते हैं। अभिभावक और विद्यार्थी भी अक्सर शिक्षा को केवल एक साधन मानते हैं, न कि जीवन को समृद्ध करने का जरिया।इसका समाधान यह हो सकता है कि शिक्षा को केवल किताबी ज्ञान तक सीमित न रखकर, उसे नैतिकता, रचनात्मकता और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी से जोड़ा जाए। शिक्षा को मन और दिल में उतारने के लिए समाज को मिलकर एक ऐसी व्यवस्था बनानी होगी जो मूल्यों और ज्ञान को प्राथमिकता दे, न कि केवल परिणामों को।

సత్యయుగంలో ధర్మం నాలుగుపాదాలా నడిచే కాలంలో ఎక్కడో ఒక దుష్టశక్తి రాక్షస రూపములో జన్మించి ప్రజలను ముప్పుతిప్పలు పెట్టి, అల్లకల్లోలం సృష్టించే సమయంలో, మన ధర్మాన్ని, ప్రజలను కాపాడడం కోసం స్వయంగా అమ్మవారే అనేక రూపాలలో అవతరించి దుష్టసంహారాన్ని గావించారు.

కానీ ఈ కలియుగంలో ధర్మం ఒంటికాలిపై నడుస్తున్నది, అప్పటిలా రాక్షసులు ఎక్కడో లేరు, మనలోనే, మనతోనే ఉన్నారు. అలాగే ఇప్పటి అమ్మాయిలు అబలలూ కారు, ధైర్యసాహసాలను, మేధాసంపత్తులను ఆయుధాలుగా చేసుకుని ఏ రంగంలోనైనా దూసుకుపోగలిగే శక్తిస్వరూపాలు. స్వయంగా అప్పటి ఆదిశక్తి అవతారాలే మన హిందూ ధర్మంలో పుట్టిన ఆడబిడ్డలా అనేంతలా వెలుగుతున్నారు. కానీ ఇది సరిపోదు. ప్రతి ఆడబిడ్డా తనని తాను దైవస్వరూపముగా భావిస్తూ, తన కుటుంబాన్నే కాక దేశాన్నీ, ధర్మాన్నీ కూడా కాపాడుకుంటూ ముందడుగు వెయ్యాలి. ఆలా ముందడుగు వేసిన కొందరు ఆడబిడ్దల ధైర్యసాహసాలను, వీరపరాక్రమాలను సరికొత్తగా మీ ముందుకి తేవడానికి చేసిన చిరుప్రయత్నమే ఈ పుస్తకం.

जीवन एक यात्रा है कभी सागर की अथाह गहराइयों की तरह विस्तृत और रहस्यमय, तो कभी पर्वतों की ऊँचाइयों की तरह कठिन और प्रेरणादायी। इसी यात्रा के अनुभवों, संघर्षों और सुकून भरे पलों को मैंने अपने इस संस्मरण ‘समुद्र से पहाड़ तक’ में आत्मीयता और सहजता से संजोया है।
यह पुस्तक केवल मेरी यात्राओं की स्मृति यात्रा ही नहीं, बल्कि उन भावनात्मक पड़ावों का दस्तावेज़ है जिनसे होकर एक इंसान स्वयं को पहचानता है। लेखिका ने अपने जीवन के छोटे-बड़े प्रसंगों को शब्दों में पिरोया है। समुद्र के किनारे की नमी से लेकर पहाड़ों की ठंडी हवाओं तक हर दृश्य, हर स्मृति यहाँ जीवंत हो उठती है।
