🚫 Delhi’s Stray Dogs Face a Death Sentence? 🐕💔

The Supreme Court has ordered all street dogs in Delhi-NCR to be captured, sterilized, vaccinated — and locked away in shelters forever. No return to their home streets.

📌 Why this is dangerous:

Shelters are already overcrowded & underfunded.

Permanent confinement = slow death for thousands of healthy dogs.

It violates Animal Birth Control (ABC) Rules, 2023, which legally protect sterilized dogs’ right to return to their territory.

Global evidence shows: removing strays creates a vacuum effect — new, unvaccinated dogs will fill the space.

The Dadar Kabootar Khana Trust has hit back — saying there’s NO data proving that pigeon droppings cause serious health issues.
They’ve even challenged the RTI reply used to justify the shutdown.

If there’s no solid evidence… was the ban a health measure or just another knee-jerk decision? 🤔
