Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple in Pondicherry dedicated to Lord Ganesh also hosts another attraction in the form of an elephant. Laxmi was adopted by the temple as a baby elephant and has since been living in the temple premises. Devotees who come to the temple seek the blessings of laxmi who lovingly strokes their head with her trunk in exchange for food and money. Funny how faith in something can separate it from the ordinary and make it stand apart. It's amusing how we humans are willing to search for a higher power in anything and anyone except within ourselves.

Waiting at the far end of the shore...Will life ever be different for those who willingly choose to be in the proximity of the great force at work. The same force which nurtures life and the same which takes it away in the blink of an eye. When calm and playful it's melody will soothe your ears but when angered, it will tear your world down like a house of cards. House on the hills.
I once saw a dream, that I was living on the hills. As far as my eyes could wander, I could see lush green valleys, I could hear the gentle sound of a river flowing nearby, I could feel the freshness in the air and I drowned in the beauty of the sunset. It was like poetry, to just stand there and embrace the grandness of nature. I wish I could live there one day, and keep living there every day!

After the storm passes, there is always the sun shining, the little animals scurrying off in the grass, birds chirping and people going back to their daily activities. Time has been reset and everything needs to go back to being the way it was intended. Nature has it's way of healing and renewing , of maintaining symmetry and balancing hope,
so that after every storm when you look up to the skies you still see the sun shining.

Stargazing... Yea I love it too. But I guess he loves it more. Staring out of the window at the cityscape, just soaking in the view. While packing my bags, a voice said to me: "Take care and do not run here and there, and come back soon" Packing hurriedly, I didn't bother much about the words. It was my mom. In the excitement of wandering to new places, I head forward to explore the unknown. Young blood, always ready to take risks. In my journey, I create my own version of rules. A mind full of chaos and stormy winds bewildering, with every diversion that leads on, I hear the winds whispering, "Son, I'll be waiting for you."

Clutching her baby close to her chest in a warm embrace, hushing him to slumber sleep this proud mom sits there ..still. The stillness of the moment is so ethereal. Isn’t it amazing how being wrapped in the arms of a loved one makes us feel safe and protected. It's like time has come to a standstill and for a moment there, nothing matters. The mom knows the little guy has yet to learn to run with the wind, but for now.. he is safe. He is here and he is loved.

“Do you still believe in God”, I ask. The lockdown has hit the man like an iceberg in the ocean. With a family of 6 to feed, and a substantial debt, he stands courageous, praying every day to the almighty, hoping for things to get better again. He replied, very courteously, “Life is but an unpredictable journey. But no matter what comes, it is a memento, a gift given to us by him, the almighty, and we shall always be grateful to what he has given us, rather than what he did not. This too shall pass! Study in your 20s, party in your 30s, work in your 40s and retire in your 50s. That’s the mantra, right! But have you ever stopped to wonder, what then? No one has really taught us that. The more precarious lifestyle we lead, the more neglecting we tend to become.
The elder ones in our life need so much more of our attention, care and time, than we can possibly think of. Every little action of ours, speak volumes to them. The smile they have, when you do as small as sitting down and talk to them is priceless.
So, Let’s spread all the happiness, love and hugs, cause believe me, they need it more than you do!

Life often takes you on the most exciting journeys to the most beautiful destinations, only if you let it. The paths we walk often make us meet people who accompany us for a while before parting ways. But the journey goes on and so must we. No matter how weary or tired you get, just keep walking.
