“When time passes, it’s the people who knew you whom you want to see; they’re the ones you can talk to. When enough time passes, what’s it matter what they did to you?” — John Irving, The Cider House Rules
Every year, we set ourseves a small community challenge.
We want to engage with people we know …
but could not or cannot keep pace with.
Why?
Because ‘life’ happens to all of us and …
nibbles away at our time, relationships, and memories.
Among the many worlds we belong to,
We fondly remember our schools.
When friends from back then meet, we have stories …
to share, to celebrate, to remember, and …
… some to forget too :)!
When enough time passes, what matters to us is what I did for them, to them, and how we made each other feel.
This year, our small community challenge turned into …
an anthology of short stories about life in a boarding school.
When anyone asks us what growing up in boarding school was like,
We suggest they pick up a copy of these two anthologies.
