Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has blasted off to a smashing start!

The film has raked in a solid ₹12.70 crore worldwide on day one marking one of the strongest openings for a rom-com in recent times.

The clever 50% off offer clearly did the trick, driving massive footfalls and sparking strong word-of-mouth, especially among families and younger crowds.

This breezy David Dhawan entertainer is now geared up for a big weekend jump on Saturday and Sunday!

⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (-2/5)

David Dhawan ki yeh film dekhkar lagta hai ki kisi ne 90s ki comedy ka purana formula uthaya aur usmein bas loud music aur zyada expressions add kar diye.

Varun Dhawan ne is film mein acting kam aur overacting ka marathon zyada lagaya hai. Har scene mein itni extra energy hai ki kabhi-kabhi lagta hai woh film mein nahi, acting reality show ke finale mein perform kar rahe hain. Kai moments mein audience story se zyada unke expressions count karne lagti hai. 😁

Dono heroines ko bhi screenplay ne zyada kuch karne ka mauka nahi diya. Unki presence achchi hai, lekin characters itne one-dimensional likhe gaye hain ki performance yaad rakhne layak material hi nahi milta. Romance mein chemistry se zyada formula nazar aata hai.

Supporting cast bhi apni taraf se poori koshish karti hai, lekin weak writing aur flat comedy ke saamne zyada kuch kar nahi paati. Kai talented actors sirf reaction shots aur filler scenes tak simat kar reh jaate hain.

David Dhawan ki comedy is baar purane jokes ki recycling machine jaisi lagti hai. Punchlines land karne se pehle hi crash ho jaati hain aur screenplay lagta hai jaise rejected comedy scenes ka compilation ho.

Final Verdict:
Film ka title promise karta hai jawaani aur ishq, lekin audience ko milta hai cringe, chaos aur overacting ka combo pack. Entertainment itna missing hai ki shayad interval ke baad theatre se hi check-out kar gaya.

"Varun Dhawan ne itni overacting ki hai ki kuch viewers mazaak mein bol sakte hain ki unhone overacting ke department mein Arjun Kapoor ko bhi competition de diya. Baaki cast bechari script ke saath wahi kar rahi hai jo audience ticket ke paise ke saath kar rahi hai — damage control!" 😆🍿

PAnil Kapoor and Nagarjuna Akkineni have demonstrated that a distinctive personal style can become a defining and enduring identity. While fleeting trends faded away, both actors remained committed to their signature moustaches, turning them into powerful emblems of confidence, charisma, and ageless star power.
For generations, Anil Kapoor’s iconic moustache has been every bit as recognizable as his infectious energy, while Nagarjuna’s classic facial hair has beautifully enhanced his natural charm and effortless swagger. Together, they’ve shown that authentic style isn’t about following every new trend pit’s about building a memorable presence that never fades.

Peddi Review: All hype, zero heart ⭐⭐ (2/5)
Peddi feels like it’s trying way too hard to crown its hero instead of telling a real story.

It had everything going for it a raw setting packed with caste struggles, tribal roots, and deep-rooted injustice but keeps shoving those heavy themes into the backseat so it can obsess over making look like a god. The guy wins at cricket, wrestling, racing… you name it. There’s zero challenge, zero suspense, and honestly, zero reason to care.

gets the worst deal. Her character is barely sketched out and mostly exists for eye candy. The so-called love story feels awkward and shoved in, with some moments around consent that land as seriously old-school and uncomfortable.

The whole script drowns in over-the-top drama, drags on forever, and slowly forgets what it was trying to say. What starts as a promising sports film with social weight turns into a nonstop highlight reel for the hero, complete with silly twists and forced tears.

Ram Charan’s charisma is the only real pull here, but the movie’s desperate need to make him superhuman kills any depth or impact the bigger message could have had.

Final word: Big letdown. So much potential, barely any payoff.
