Maharashtra FDA has raided B.G. Goyal & Company, a spice and dry-fruit shop owned by Pravin Goyal, father of Siya Goyal, in Pune’s Market Yard. Officials seized 4,172 kg of food products worth ₹8.14 lakh over alleged food-safety and labelling violations, including suspected substandard products. The FDA also cited issues involving the shop’s licence and an allegedly unlicensed storage facility. Samples of turmeric powder, sesame seeds and soya chunks were sent for laboratory testing.

The action was carried out by the Pune FDA team under the Maharashtra FDA administration headed by Tukaram Mundhe. Importantly, officials have not said the FDA action is connected to the Ketan Agarwal murder investigation. ​⁠
