Watched Mandala Murders last night and was sorely disappointed. Aside from a poorly structured script and lazy screenplay, completely derailed the series for me her performance felt flat, emotionless, and disconnected. There are inexplicable slow-walk sequences that make the pacing cringe-worthy.

Meanwhile, talents like , , and .mumbai are completely wasted by the weak direction and unimaginative writing. The series kicks off with a hint of potential in the first episode, but by the second, it derails into overblown melodrama and obscure rituals

What’s worse is that the story gets tangled in confusing flashbacks and spiritual mumbo-jumbo that only adds to the mess. The show tries to create a rich visual vibe with mythological elements, but it doesn’t make up for the weak character development and repetitive emotions.

Vaani Kapoor delivers a wooden and flat performance in her OTT debut. Surveen Chawla, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, and Jameel Khan are solid actors, but their talent is completely wasted due to poor writing. What starts off with some promise quickly turns into a slow, confusing melodrama with half-baked mythology and no real payoff.

Contrary to popular narrative, Kabir Bedi reveals in a recent interaction that Parveen left him due to her fear of seeking treatment for her deteriorating mental health.

Kabir Bedi had even encouraged her to get medical help, especially during their time in London, but her paranoia led her to believe that treatment would ruin her Bollywood career.

Bedi shared that her condition predated their separation, offering a new perspective on their romantic tale with a tragic turn!

As the weight of this loss settles in, I realise there’s still so much more I want to say about my friend Mukul.

I will miss Mukul deeply. His booming laughter at our inside jokes, his unmatched gift for storytelling, that unmistakable voice… He acted in two of my unreleased films and a TV show—somehow in the shadows of it all, we became very close. We bonded over booze, broken hearts, and the foolish hope that things would one day make sense. For years, we were gym buddies, pushing each other through reps and regrets.

Mukul was devastatingly handsome—his presence could light up a stadium, his charm could hold a room in thrall. He had what most people only dream of: a dream launch, big directors, prominent co-stars. He had the look, the talent, the pedigree. But his career became a collection of missed opportunities and near breakthroughs. A story of what could’ve been. A string of ‘what ifs’.

And I think those what ifs chipped away at his spirit. Slowly, quietly, they filled him with a sense of defeat and resignation—an ache that often found its only solace in booze. Behind the laughter and bravado was a man struggling to reconcile with the dreams that eluded him.

He was also a gifted writer. He gave me the story of Omertà back in 2003. I remember the joy in his voice when the film was finally made, the pride when he saw it with festival audiences, and that infectious excitement when his name came up in the writing credits. Every time we spoke, he’d chuckle and say, “Hansie, kya film banayi yaar. International. Soch bhi nahi sakta tha ki aisi film mein I’d have a writing credit. This is so good for me.” That credit made him feel seen. Respected. Validated. I just wish we had done more together.

The last time we spoke was a few months ago. The same gregarious laugh, the same fake Feroz Khan accent we always used with each other. But behind the laughter, I sensed something heavier—a quiet sadness, an air of disappointment, a kind of loneliness he never really shared.

Go well, my beautiful, broken, brilliant friend.
Phir milenge.

Black, White & Gray: Love Kills Unveils a Fresh Face Who Could Give Star Kids a Run for Their Money.

I ended up watching all six episodes each about 40–45 minutes long in one go, because I got so invested in the people it was following and needed to know what happens next

One character that completely stole my attention was this girl — Palak Jaiswal. She literally rises from the dead to save her lover, and from that moment on, you just can’t take your eyes off her. In a time when we’re flooded with influencer-actors who have big followings but barely any acting chops, discovering someone like Palak feels like a breath of fresh air.

She brings depth, intensity, and real presence to this gripping murder mystery and that’s saying something, considering she’s standing out alongside a powerhouse ensemble that includes Mayur More, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and others.

A bold new talent steps into the spotlight raw, real, and ready to shake up the screen Can’t wait to see what Palak Jaiswal will do next
