The Indian Outdoor Advertising Association () has formally written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, requesting a reduction in GST on outdoor advertising from the current 18% down to 5%.

IOAA highlighted the public benefit generated from outdoor advertising revenues that help develop and maintain vital civic infrastructure. However, the current high tax rate discourages private investment and threatens the sustainability of these public-benefit projects.

The Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (Ioaa India) has formally written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, requesting a reduction in GST on outdoor advertising from the current 18% down to 5%.

Life-size panda sculptures dressed in Adidas tracksuits appear in high-traffic areas, offering photo moments and tying into a staged launch that began on July 25, 2025 in Chengdu before expanding countrywide in August.
