62-year-old Prakash Shripat Shendge, who had gone missing after leaving his home on September 29 around 8 p.m., has finally been found safe.

He was reunited with his family on October 13 at 1 p.m., thanks to the efforts of the Nirmal Nagar Police Station, Bandra East, who handed him over to his daughter-in-law, Ratna Prathamesh Shendge.

A heartfelt thanks to the local police and everyone who helped bring him home safely.

Not all heroes wear uniforms — some drive rickshaws.

Vimala accidentally dropped her smartphone in an auto rickshaw while getting off near Holy Family Hospital, Bandra. The next passenger noticed the smartphone and handed it over to the rickshaw driver, Imtiyaz.

When Vimala called her number, Imtiyaz answered — assuring her the phone was safe with him. After completing his trip all the way to Andheri, he drove back to Bandra and returned the smartphone himself.

A small act of honesty, a big reminder that good people still keep this city’s heart beating.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate Imtiyaz — the kind of Mumbaikar who makes Bandra proud.

A 62-year-old Bandra resident had quite a shock on the morning of October 23 when two men were caught trying to steal her Mercedes parked outside her building near D’Monte Park.

The woman, Sheril Sumaya — a retiree known for her love of vintage cars — rushed down after her neighbour noticed the duo acting suspiciously. One of them was already sitting inside the car, while the other stood lookout. When confronted, one fled — but the other reportedly stayed put, showing little fear.

Sheril says she tried to take a photo before he finally walked away. Moments later, she saw the same two men loitering near the car again — prompting her to file a complaint at Bandra Police Station.

Police have registered an FIR against two unidentified men and are investigating the case.

Let’s stay alert, Bandra — early morning or late night, always double-check your vehicles and look out for your neighbours. Community watch and quick thinking truly make a difference.

Can you guess the name — and the road — where this picturesque bungalow once stood in Bandra?

A glimpse into a quieter time, when tree-lined lanes, red-tiled roofs, and open verandahs defined the charm of our neighbourhood. Each of these heritage homes holds a story — of families, laughter, and memories that shaped the Bandra we know and love today.

Drop your guesses in the comments.

This was the scene at Carter Road promenade, near the amphitheatre end, captured around 2:20 pm on 22nd October — the aftermath of firecracker chaos that went on till 4 am, despite the court orders on Diwali firecracker timings and sound pollution limits in Mumbai.

Residents say they tried calling the Mumbai Police helpline (100) repeatedly — but no one picked up.
It’s disheartening how something meant to bring festive cheer turned into a night of stress and sleeplessness for families, seniors, and pets across the neighbourhood.

We truly hope Mumbai Police takes note and ensures that the Diwali noise and timing regulations are enforced — so celebrations can stay joyful and respectful of everyone’s peace.

Because festivals should bring us together — not keep us awake till dawn.

What do you think, Bandra? Should firecracker hours be more strictly monitored, or should they be banned in residential areas altogether? Tell us in the comments 👇

Authorities have begun a major demolition drive at Bandra Reclamation, with the other end of Nargis Dutt Nagar slums also being cleared. The operation, which began earlier this month, focuses on removing slum settlements located along L.K. Mehta Marg and KC Marg, just off the Bandra Worli Sea Link and the new Coastal Road exit.

At Bandra Terminus Depot, a new Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is quietly making a big difference — transforming nearly 12.4 lakh litres of wastewater every month into reusable water for non-potable purposes.

This eco-friendly initiative by Western Railway isn’t just about saving water — it’s about setting an example for sustainable living in the city. From conserving precious resources to reducing waste, the ETP shows how technology and care can work hand in hand for a cleaner, greener Mumbai.

Here’s to small steps creating big impact — and to Bandra being part of the change!

What do you think about such eco-friendly moves in our city? Should more local projects follow suit? Tell us in the comments!
