The advances in science and technology over the past few centuries
need not be explained. The media is at the forefront of what global changes
are trying to give a new dimension. The concept of what it is today was beyond
human imagination in the past centuries. One of the most important uses of the Internet is to keep people
informed about the world. The fact is that the proper use of the Internet can
lead to many positive things on a global scale, but the tragedy is that the
media today is being more increasingly used for spreading propagandas and
destruction than being used for constructive and corrective purposes. Negative news and ideologies are propagated through the media in a way that
the new generation and a lay man cannot differentiate between what is right
and what is wrong. The web of obscenity and glamorous material is being
spread in a way that the readers and viewers can never ramin without being
trapped into it. Electronic and print media seem to be dominated and
controlled by either commercial companies or by negative ideological groups. As a result, the whole world is in turmoil and materialism, wrong ideological
perception and self-importance have become common among human beings
and the situation clearly shows if the negative use of media is not curbed, the
situation could get worse in the future. In order to protect the world, and especially the younger generation,
from these propagandas and wrong perception, it is necessary to
appropriately purify the media, and the most effective way to do this job is to
rid the media of negative thinking, businessmen and such groups. This is
possible only when God-fearing with true journalistic passion and human
loving people actively take part in the media. In 2012, a news portal called
"Baseerat Online" was launched on Internet, paying attention to the demands
of the time. The young writers and learners from the country and abroad were
given opportunity to showcase their talents through the Baseerat Online. It's
initial mission is to provide the world with a 24 hour updated newspaper
adhering to the principles of Islamic journalism that do not plays tricks for its
TRP but gives importance to the abilities of the writers and the real
journalism. Baseerat Online is read online in more than 100 countries today
because of its extraordinary features, coverage and reporting. Despite the
unexpected extraordinary success achieved in this short span of time,
Baseerat Online continues to adhere to its valued principles. In the beginning,
Baseera Online Hindi service was also launched but due to successive cyber
attacks, the service was shut down. Insh allah, the Hindi service will be
resumed soon. Currently, Baseerat Online is serving in both Urdu and English
languages. By the grace of Allah, The Baseerat Online is now registered under
the name of "Baseerat Media House", under the same Media House, a weekly
registered newspaper "Mili Baseerat" is published. Baseerat Online is
promoting Islamic journalism with utmost honesty and integrity. Baseerat
Online has its YouTube Channel to reach the common people easily through
internet services. The standard that Baseerat Online has set for itself and its readers
from the day one, despite becoming a world-renowned news portal, it has
never compromised with its principles and standards to gain TRP and cheap
publicity, etc., therefore, even today, people have as much trust and
confidence in Baseerat Online as no other Urdu news portal stands to gain
