Once the Shah of Persia sent three gold figures to Akbar, they were the same, and in the attached letter the shah asked to determine which one was more valuable.
First of all, Akbar weighed the figures, but they turned out to be the same weight.
Then he gave them to his advisors to determine which of them is more valuable.
They began to taste them, smell them. In the end, finding no difference, they gave them to Birbal.
Birbal turned them in his hands, took a straw, did something, and then, pointing to one, said that it was the most valuable, the second was worse, and the third was useless.
Akbar asked him to explain how he defined it.
Birbal took a straw and showed that he took one figure and poked it in her ear, the straw did not go, and Birbal said that this is the most useless figure, it needs to be thrown away. Then he took the second figure and poked it in her ear, and the straw entered one ear and emerged from the other. Birbal said that this is something, but it's no good either. Then he took the last figure, poked it in her ear, the straw went into her ear, and then went inside. And Birbal said that this is the most valuable figure.
The most valuable gift which we have is the ability to listen, unfortunately, we often do not use it.
If you ask a person fifteen minutes after the lecture what the lecture was about, he will say that the lecture was cool, but which he does not remember about
We must understand that we may often be inattentive in hearing or reading. If we do not hear sincerely, or avoid valuable teachings then we are not able to absorb and apply the teachings in our lives thus blocking us from acting according to situations. If we hear or read well then we can speak well
