Christian Weding Ceremony at Lake Como this summer

We chose the breathtaking Grand Hotel Tremezzo one of the most iconic and beautiful places on the lake. The whole day had been sunny and warm, but just as the time for our ceremony approached, the weather forecast suddenly shifted—thunderstorms were predicted. The hotel gently suggested we move the ceremony indoors.

But we both looked at each other and decided: we’re staying outside. We held onto hope that the rain would hold off—and in some magical way, it did.

I remember walking down the aisle to “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, and just as I took my first steps, a soft wind began to blow. The atmosphere turned moody and romantic, with the sky covered in clouds and the leaves around us dancing in the air.

As we exchanged our vows, something extraordinary happened—the church next to our ceremony location began to ring its bells. It felt like a blessing from above, perfectly timed and incredibly emotional.

The moment we said “I do” and took a few pictures, the heavens opened. Rain poured down, followed by rolling thunderstorms—but by then, it didn’t matter. We were already married.

In Italy, they say:
“Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata.”
A wet bride is a lucky bride.

And we truly believe we were.
