The Supreme Court made a sharp remark while hearing a fresh plea from Rani Kapur, the 80-year-old mother of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur. Justice J B Pardiwala said, “We have entered into an arena where the Mahabharat will look very small.” The ongoing legal war is over the RK Family Trust and assets worth 30000 crore rupees. Rani Kapur has accused her daughter-in-law Priya Kapur of trying to take control of the estate through fraudulent means. The court will hear the matter again on May 14.

Do you think such long family legal battles in rich business families should be kept out of public courts and settled through private mediation?

After ruling the IPL, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has set his sights on a new frontier. As the co-founder of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), he has brought in none other than Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid as the owner of the Dublin Guardians.

Dravid, who will also serve as a mentor to the team, attended the launch event in Dublin, Ireland, with Bachchan, where the franchise was officially unveiled. He will be joined by former Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has been named as the captain of the side.

The tournament is set to be held from 26th August to 20th September 2026. The ETPL is India's ambitious project to grow the sport across Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands, with six teams competing in a cross-border T20 league.

Radhika Ambani’s arrival at the 61st Venice Biennale in a custom gold brocade ensemble is a moment worth celebrating. Designed by London-based Erdem, the outfit featured an off-shoulder draped corset and a dramatic floor-sweeping cape.

But here’s what makes it truly special. The fabric was not European. It was handwoven by Swadesh, a platform dedicated to preserving India’s rich textile heritage. The rich metallic gold brocade with intricate floral motifs was the work of master Indian weavers, whose skill was spotlighted on one of the world’s grandest cultural stages. Pairing this opulent corset with straight beige trousers and oversized gold earrings, she struck a perfect balance between Eastern artistry and Western tailoring.

Do you think Indian handloom and textile traditions deserve more collaborations with global fashion houses on such international platforms?

Do you think having so many highly qualified MLAs will bring real change to the politics and governance of Tamil Nadu?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reduced the number of vehicles in his SPG security convoy by nearly half. This is part of a wider austerity and fuel saving drive amid rising oil prices due to the West Asia crisis. The SPG has been asked to use more electric vehicles but without purchasing any new cars. The PM wants to use existing resources to set an example for the entire government to follow.

Do you think such steps by the Prime Minister will encourage other leaders and common citizens to save fuel?
