No. A great story doesn’t automatically make a great screenplay, just like a great screenplay doesn’t guarantee a great film. Story is what happens. Screenplay is how it unfolds on screen. It’s not just about plot twists—it’s about character, pacing, and screenplay grammar.

Framing vs. Composition: The Art of Visual Storytelling

In filmmaking, framing and composition work together to create visually compelling shots, but they serve different purposes:

Framing defines the boundaries of the shot—what’s included and what’s excluded. It determines the perspective, camera angle, and how much of the scene is visible to the audience.

Composition is how elements within the frame are arranged. It involves balance, symmetry, leading lines, depth, and visual weight to create an aesthetically pleasing and meaningful image.

While framing sets the stage, composition enhances the storytelling impact by guiding the viewer’s eye and evoking emotions. Together, they shape the visual language of cinema!
