The mother of a critically ill patient has come out in support of the Shiv Sena corporator accused of assaulting medical staff, claiming he had only stepped in to help during a medical emergency.
Sadhana Karande said her daughter was in a critical condition and the family was unable to get assistance from hospital staff. She alleged that doctors were not answering their calls, prompting them to seek help from the corporator, whom she referred to as "Dada."
Defending him, Karande said the case filed against the Shiv Sena leader was "completely false" and insisted he has always stood by their family. Her statement comes amid an ongoing investigation into the alleged assault at the hospital.

A serious accident was reported near Critical Hospital, Kokan Nagar, where a BEST bus allegedly hit a pedestrian with great force. The injured person was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Several other vehicles were also damaged in the chain collision.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
