Indian design is finally designing for behaviour, not applause.

Walking through the second half of the show felt like stepping into prototypes of the next decade.
Corridors became narratives. Installations felt like encounters. Every pavilion was a thesis on how emotion, dwell time, attention and conversion can be shaped through space.
Luxury isn’t about opulence anymore, it’s about orchestration.
The best designers here didn’t scream for attention; they manipulated it with silence, restraint and precision.
If the AD Design Show proved anything, it’s that India isn’t following the global conversation.
It’s rewriting it, with intelligence, intention and unapologetic identity.

India’s design scene isn’t playing dress-up anymore. At this year’s AD Design Show, spaces weren’t made to be admired; they were engineered to influence.
Materials behaved. Craft held its ground. Form carried intention instead of ego.
What struck me most was how the exhibit shifted from “look at this” to “experience this.” Designers weren’t creating objects; they were choreographing reactions.
And that’s where the future is headed, away from presentation and toward participation.
This show didn’t just raise the bar. It questioned who even gets to set it.

And now… part 2. Time to get highly opinionated.
But luxury isn’t just about putting on a show; it’s about how you make people move through it. The experience stumbled where it should’ve flowed. Crowds felt unmanaged, storytelling lost rhythm between rooms, and elegance sometimes overpowered clarity. Spectacular, yes. Seamless? Not so much.
What are you thoughts ?

The exhibition at .india was nothing short of a visual indulgence. Art, history, and craftsmanship collided in a way that made you feel the weight of culture and luxury in the same breath. Paintings, installations, and jewels weren’t just displayed, they conversed with each other. It was immersive, cinematic, and designed to impress.
Wait for part 2 - this is where it gets spicy.

Delhi didn’t just welcome me, it threw me into a couture themed obstacle course with smog as the stage light.

Paradox wrapped in splendour.
Cold brew one minute, bargaining for 20 rupees the next.
History flexes like it owns the place (because it kinda does).
Street style looks like Fashion Week had a feral cousin.
Chaos? Impeccable rhythm. Better than most playlists.

Delhi, you chaotic charmer - 10/10 would get lost again.

Think the McDonald’s kiosk is about speed? Nah. It’s about seduction—with fries on the side.
When no one’s watching, you don’t just order fast—you order more.
That’s not convenience. That’s behavioural science at play.

McDonald’s knows:
No pressure = more time = higher order value.
Welcome to experience design that nudges you to spend without realising it.

The best brands? They don’t just sell.
They shape choices. Subtly. Strategically.

If you’re a brand, marketer, or founder—you should be studying this.
Because in 2025, marketing isn’t about shouting louder.
It’s about designing smarter.

Follow for unapologetically sharp insights on consumer behaviour, digital strategy, and building brands that actually convert.
