Autocar Pro Exclusive: Big development on Avinya. Our sources tell us that Tata Motors PV is now going to source Chery-JLR ecosystem platform (CJLR) for the upcoming Avinya EV. Earlier the company was planning to use JLR's EMA platform, but according to sources familiar with the programme, the economies of adapting the platform for the intended positioning and volumes of Avinya had become difficult to justify. Industry sources also tell us that the first Avinya models are likely to feature battery packs in the 60-85 kWh range.
