‼️Rest in peace brave soul‼️

A Delta Air Lines (DL) first officer of Indian origin, Dave Fiji, was killed in a helicopter crash in the United States just hours after his wedding, turning a day of celebration into tragedy. The helicopter pilot also died in the crash, while Fiji’s wife, Jesni, survived and is recovering in the hospital.

The newlyweds had boarded a Robinson R66 helicopter after their ceremony in Dawsonville, Georgia, bound for DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK) as a special send-off. The aircraft crashed in a heavily wooded area near the venue shortly after take-off on Friday night.

According to the family, Jesni remained trapped inside the helicopter for nearly six hours before emergency responders reached her.

Emirates A380 Wake Turbulence Injures Five on Eurowings A320, Here’s How❓🌀

The Eurowings Airbus A320-200, registered D-AEWS, was cruising at Flight Level 360 about 20 nautical miles east of Sarajevo when air traffic control cleared the aircraft to climb to FL380.

At the same moment, the Emirates Airbus A380-800, registered A6-EUF, was already maintaining FL380 in the same airspace.

The superjumbo was positioned around 13 nautical miles east-northeast of Sarajevo and approximately 7.6 nautical miles ahead of the climbing A320.

As the narrowbody passed through the altitudes, the flight crew encountered atmospheric turbulence combined with wake turbulence from the A380.

The smaller jet stopped climbing, descended sharply, and continued to its destination, where medical teams were waiting on arrival, Aviation Hearld reported.

Pregnant Woman, Child Held at Dulles Airport for Over a Week Amid Deportation Disputes🤰

The case has drawn national attention after civil rights attorneys alleged that the pair were confined in a windowless detention area despite medical concerns involving both the mother and child.

US authorities, however, have rejected allegations of mistreatment and maintain that appropriate care was provided throughout their detention.

According to legal filings submitted by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), 38-year-old Annabella Gyasi arrived at Washington Dulles International Airport from Ghana last week with her son.

The child was reportedly scheduled to travel onward to Ohio for a medical evaluation at Akron Children’s Hospital.

The boy was expected to undergo an assessment to determine whether he was now eligible for surgery related to a congenital hand condition. Instead of continuing their journey, immigration authorities detained both travelers upon arrival.

Airbus Starts Building New A350-1000 First Class✈️

The European aircraft manufacturer revealed the update during the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, where executives confirmed that several airlines are already evaluating parts of the concept for future premium cabins.

The project reflects the strong recovery in high-end international travel after the COVID-19 pandemic, with airlines increasingly investing in exclusive First Class products to separate themselves from business class offerings.

Airbus said its redesigned Airbus A350-1000 cabin architecture could help carriers create highly differentiated premium experiences on flagship routes from cities such as Singapore, Doha, and London.

American Airlines to Hire 400 New Employees at IT Hub in India✈️

The Hyderabad center will scale up software engineering, AI, and cybersecurity work as part of the carrier’s global technology network.

The center is located in Hyderabad (HYD) and currently employs around 400 staff.

The expansion places the carrier alongside rival Southwest Airlines (WN), which recently announced plans to grow its own Hyderabad (HYD) global capability center to roughly 1,000 employees over the next few years.

American Airlines set up its Hyderabad hub in 2024. The center focuses on software engineering, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. The two sources said headcount stands at about 400 today and will rise to nearly 800 by early next year if hiring stays on track.
