The Hindustan Daily

The Hindustan Daily The oldest newspaper in Mumbai established in 1936 Hindustan is the oldest & the most vibrant Urdu Daily from Mumbai. The journey towards tomorrow continues.

Established in 1936 by Ghulam Ahmed Khan Arzu. Hindustan Urdu Daily has served the cause of Urdu Journalism right since its inception and pioneered many path breaking innovations. Apart from introducing newer journalistic trends in reporting, editing and page designing, Hindustan is the first newspaper in India to have gone completely digital. In 1989 with the active contribution of Dataflow Softw

are, we created India's first totally indigenous Nastaliq Urdu software-"Dilkash". Hindustan was the first newspaper in the Urdu World to have developed data transmission techniques which made publication of multiple editions of Urdu newspapers possible. Again, in a world's first, Hindustan Daily facilitated the development of data conversion from UNI Urdu News Service to Urdu Nastaliq files that were incorporated directly in newspaper pages. All this without any institutional or government backing and only with our limited and meagre resources. TheHindustanDaily.com/THDLive.com are an extension of the same thought process. Keep watching this space. We have more surprises coming your way. Sarfaraz Arzu
