DACHSER reported a 3.1% increase in revenue to around €8.3 billion in the 2025 financial year, despite a challenging economic environment, setting a new record for the company. Tonnage transported rose 5.8% to 46.7 million metric tons, while shipments increased 3.6% to 86.2 million.

Falling freight rates and US tariffs hit Dachser’s air and sea logistics, even as overall revenue rose in 2025.

The streamline fee for overloaded vehicles has been updated, notified by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The amendment was notified to the National Highways Fee Fourth Amendment Rules, 2026 with regards to strengthening the fee collection and ensuring its enforcement through digital systems like FASTag.

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority - JNPA said it has maintained operational continuity across key parameters despite disruptions linked to developments in the Middle East. The port reported stable operations supported by planning, resource deployment, and coordination with stakeholders as global supply chains continue to face uncertainty.

The port recorded an improvement in import container dwell time in February 2026 compared to March 2026.

The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of the four-lane access-controlled Barabanki–Bahraich section of National Highway 927, a project aimed at strengthening trade connectivity between India and Nepal. The corridor will improve access to the Rupaidiha Land Port and Nepalgunj, a key cross-border trade point between the two countries.

India remains Nepal’s largest trading partner, accounting for more than 60 percent of its total trade volume.
