Khar has a new tropical escape, and it’s built around a 90-year-old mango tree. 🄭🌓

Introducing Sweeney by restaurateur Dhaval Udeshi & Malaika Arora, the new Thai-European garden restaurant taking over the iconic space where Silly once stood.

Think:
• candle-lit outdoor seating
• Mango Picantes & Soju Bomb rituals
• Thai comfort food under the stars
• long lunches turning into cocktail nights
• deep house edits & nostalgic 80s music
• monthly Sunday Bubble Brunches
• and even a ā€œCook Your Own Thaiā€ 5-course guided experience with the chef

The menu blends Thai comfort food with European indulgence featuring dishes like Pad Thai, Pineapple Rice, Thai curries, Mango Sticky Rice, tropical cocktails, and playful tableside moments throughout the evening.

And yes, if a mango falls on your table from the tree, you win a complimentary jar of their house-made mango pickle. 🄭

Bandra just had its biggest Asian moment yet. 🄢

8 new Asian restaurants opened in Bandra in 2026 — and the neighbourhood hasn’t looked more like Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok and Colombo all at once.

Gong, Bandra West - Mumbai’s first restaurant to bring Chuka and Itameshi to the table, alongside one of the city’s largest sushi programmes.

Mirai, Bandra West - Japanese precision meets Korean fire, with live teppanyaki, an omakase counter, Korean BBQ, hotpots and a private karaoke room.

Thai Naam, Linking Road - Bandra’s most authentic Thai, relocated from Andheri with 100 seats and a menu that doesn’t compromise for the Mumbai palate.

House of Akina, Bandra West - a residential-style contemporary Asian dining room where the menu travels from Gondhoraj salmon ceviche to wonton lamb birria tacos.

Lisa’s Lanka, Linking Road - Mumbai’s first Sri Lankan bistro-bar, serving bone marrow varuval, hoppers and Jaffna curry.

Minka, Bandra - a cute, casual cafƩ doing sushi, dumplings and bao from noon to 1am, no fuss, no reservations.

Steam Room, Pali Hill - Pan-Asian comfort done right, soup dumplings, ramen and an Asian street market menu that’s been packed since day one.

Sweeney, Khar - Thai and European home-style cooking set beneath a century-old mango tree, and one of the most charming rooms to open this year.

Mumbai has a new all-day tropical escape and it’s in Santacruz. 🌓

Laguna by TGS is a cocktail cafĆ©-bar that goes from morning coffee to late-night tequila - and the menu travels the entire American continent while it’s at it.

Think spinach enchiladas, Chicago-style deep dish pizza, a smashed burger built for big cravings, and a matcha panna cotta that your matcha obsession fully deserves.

The cocktail program is tequila-led and completely unhinged - and yes, one of them comes in a tote bag.

Jain and Vegan options available.

This beachside dining experience feels cinematic and the food keeps up with every frame.

Mezzo Mezzo at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu just launched a new Modern European menu that is quietly one of the best things happening in Mumbai right now. Chef Jacopo Avigo brings real craft to the table , fresh pasta, Baciata pizza, and a Tiramisu that has no business being this good.

Juhu just got its most compelling dinner reservation.

Mumbai’s Best Intimate Bars & Bistros For A First Date
Small rooms, low lights, and drinks worth lingering over.
Because the best first dates need the right room - and these five have it figured out.

From a 25-seater in Khar where every cocktail is built around a single ingredient, to a Bandra bistro with hand-painted cherub frescos and crayons on the table, to a bar up an unmarked staircase where a Tokyo bartender designed the drinks programme. Save this before your next first date.

For a long time, Nespresso was something many people in India associated with travel.

Airport lounges.
Luxury hotels.
European homes.

But now, the brand has officially opened its first Mumbai pavilion at Jio World Drive, making its globally recognised coffee system far more accessible to the city.
And honestly, the timing makes sense.

Mumbai’s home coffee culture has evolved rapidly over the last few years. More people are investing in better machines, understanding flavour profiles, experimenting with brewing rituals, and trying to recreate elevated cafĆ© experiences at home.

The challenge?

Most people still don’t know where to begin.

That’s where the new pavilion changes things. Designed less like a traditional retail store and more like a guided coffee discovery space, it allows people to taste coffees, explore flavour profiles, understand machines, and receive personalised recommendations based on their preferences.

After New Delhi and Gurugram, Mumbai becomes another major step in Nespresso’s growing India expansion.
