When Mussoorie Invited Me... ✨❤️

Known as the "Queen of Hills," Mussoorie is nestled in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, right at the foothills of the majestic Himalayan ranges.

Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters above sea level, Mussoorie enjoys a very pleasant climate during the summer. However, the winters bring a biting chill, and the town is frequently graced by beautiful snowfall.

The Mighty Krishna River ✨
Have you ever seen the Krishna River while traveling by train?

The Krishna River is the third longest river in India. It flows for about 1,400 kilometers from its origin in Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra, before emptying into the Bay of Bengal near Vijayawada.
The Prakasam Barrage, an irrigation project across this river, is the pride of Vijayawada and greatly enhances the city's beauty, especially when illuminated at night. This massive barrage is named after Tanguturi Prakasam, the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Theekkuttichathan 📍✨

Theekkuttichathan is a prominent Theyyam performance found in North Kerala, particularly in the districts of Kannur and Kasaragod.
According to the myth, Kuttichathan is believed to be the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. As a mystical deity (Mantramoorthi), he was known to astonish and even frighten people with his supernatural powers and miraculous deeds.

The most defining characteristic of this deity is his mastery over fire. The name "Theekkuttichathan" literally translates to "Fire Kuttichathan."
Fire Walking: The performer (Theyyam) walks across heaps of glowing red embers.
Fire Play: The ritual involves "playing" with fire, showcasing the deity's immunity to the heat and his divine energy.

This Theyyam is a powerful symbol of the mystical traditions of Malabar, blending devotion with awe-inspiring physical feats.

The Taj of the Deccan 🕊️

Prince Azam Shah, the son of Aurangzeb, built this "mini Taj" in memory of his mother, following his father's instructions. As a measure of cost-cutting, only the main dome was constructed using Makrana marble, while the rest was built using a high-quality ancient plaster mixture known as Himmati. It is often referred to as the
"Poor Man's Taj Mahal."

If you ever visit Aurangabad, Bibi Ka Maqbara is a place you must definitely see.
