NAGAON | North East's first Aircraft Restaurant, Entrepreneur Hariprashana Hazarika's "Wings of Hazarika" had entered Nagaon District on Monday morning.

Notably, the Aircraft arrived in Jakhalabanda at around 11:30 AM and is expected to reach Jorhat tonight, said Entrepreneur Hazarika on his official Facebook Handle.

It is to be mentioned that the Aircraft has been purchased from Mumbai and is currently being transported in a massive truck and is expected to reach Historic Sivasagar Town on 9th of Jan.

This plane is all set to be transformed into Northeast's first Aircraft restaurant and will open for public at Bhatiapara in the historic Sivasagar district of Assam.

Nagaon | Assamese film নেলীৰ কথা- The Nellie Story won Silver Kailasha Award for Best Script at the 9th Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival (AIFF 2024) held at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

"The Nellie Story" directed and produced by Mr. Parthajit Baruah, is a significant project that shows Rajiv Pator, a PhD candidate at Gauhati University, visits the Muslim dominated, remote villages of Nellie to look into the events leading up to the massacre of Muslims on February 18, 1983, also known as the Nellie massacre, the darkest chapter in the sociopolitical history of Assam. The movie was released on 8th Dec, 2023.

In a positive development, our world famous Rhinos have made triumphant return after 4 decades to Laokhowa & Burachapori WLS.

Expressing happiness, Assam Chief Minister announced the news on his official X Handle. He wrote, "Happy to share that after 40 years our iconic Rhinos have returned to Laokhowa and Burachapori. 🦏 They have returned within 1 year of our successful anti-encroachment operation in the region. 51.7 sq km of forest cover was retrieved from the evictions in 2023".

Director of Kaziranga National Park (KNP) Sonali Ghosh said two rhinos have been spotted in the Laokhowa-Burachapori wildlife sanctuaries, which are part of 'Greater Kaziranga', after almost a gap of
40 years. She mentioned that the Laokhowa-Burachapori forest in Nagaon district had close to 50 rhinos till 1983.
