🚨 Researchers & Academicians — Be Aware Before You Submit Your Manuscript 🚨
In today’s publishing race, many journals claim to be indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), or PubMed. But not every claim is genuine. Some journals use outdated indexing information, cloned websites, fake impact factors, or promise publication within 2–3 days without proper peer review.
A genuine scientific publication requires:
✔️ Proper editorial screening
✔️ Ethical review process
✔️ Transparent peer review
✔️ Revision and reviewer comments
✔️ Time for quality assessment
If a journal promises “Guaranteed acceptance” or “Publication in 48 hours,” it should immediately raise concerns.
🔍 Always verify indexing from OFFICIAL SOURCES:
• Scopus Source List
• Web of Science Master Journal List
• PubMed / NLM Catalog
Do not rely only on what is written on the journal website because indexing status can change, journals may get discontinued, or fake cloned websites may misuse the name of reputed journals.
⚠️ Red flags of questionable journals:
❌ Publication within 2–3 days
❌ No genuine peer review
❌ Fake impact factors
❌ Aggressive email invitations
❌ Hidden APC charges
❌ Poor website quality
❌ Editorial board without verifiable affiliations
Remember:
A fast publication is not always a quality publication.
A strong peer-reviewed paper in a genuine indexed journal carries long-term academic value, credibility, and global visibility.
As researchers, we must promote ethical publishing practices and guide young academicians to choose authentic journals over predatory shortcuts. 📚✨
