These three tips can make a lot of difference in your fat loss journey. Each person is unique and beautiful, however stop shaming fat and also glorifying it. Fat is necessary for survival and obesity is linked to many other diseases and conditions. It is pervasive, meaning affecting many areas of life such as mental health, physical health, relationships, work, finances etc.

These three tips will help you enhance your fat loss journey. Always consult a physician before you start exercise and nutrition plan. It's non negotiable.

1. Gaining Muscle

Gaining muscle helps with fat loss because muscle tissue is metabolically active, meaning it burns more calories at rest compared to fat tissue. This increase in resting metabolic rate helps the body burn more calories throughout the day, even when not exercising. Additionally, resistance training and activities that build muscle also burn calories, further contributing to a calorie deficit necessary for fat loss.

2. Stopping Emotional Eating

Stopping emotional eating is crucial for fat loss because it helps reduce the intake of excess calories that are often consumed during periods of stress, boredom, or negative emotions. By addressing the underlying emotional triggers and developing healthier coping mechanisms, individuals can maintain better control over their eating habits, ensuring they consume an appropriate amount of calories aligned with their weight loss goals.

3. Thyroid Function Test

A thyroid function test is important for fat loss as it can help diagnose thyroid disorders, such as hypothyroidism, which can slow down metabolism and make losing weight more difficult. By identifying and treating thyroid imbalances, people can normalize their metabolic rate, making it easier to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Proper thyroid function is essential for overall metabolic health and energy levels. However don't interpret the report yourself and don't take the medicines without prescription.

I am super proud to be training the mentors at IIT Bombay in collaboration with the Student Wellness Center. The mentorship program is very popular among the students, as they fell more connected to the students and this way support and psychological help can effectively reach the students in distress, and even before the problems arise. Forward this to all students, and IIT administrators, IIM administrators so they can initiate similar activities in their institute.

Have you ever heard someone say,"If he does this, why should I be kind?", or "She needs to stop doing this first, or else I'm not going to be good to hear". Both the partners believe strongly that if they react differently, it means they had the issue and not the partner. Because of this they mirror negative behaviors and attitudes of the partner and the chain reaction goes on.
The wiser one chooses to break the chain from their end by not continuing negative behaviors. Emotional regulation is the key to doing this. Manage your unhealthy Anger, hurt well and you will be able to do it. Forward it to your favourite couple.
