78 BJP Members Join PPA in Chessa–Sonajuli Panchayat

In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming local body elections, a total of 78 members from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formally joined the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) today during a Mass Joining program held at Chessa–Sonajuli Panchayat.

The new entrants pledged their support to the official PPA Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) candidate Nabam Sina, further strengthening the party’s grassroots presence in the region.

The event was held under the leadership of Nabam Vivek, MLA of the 14th Doimukh Constituency and State President of the PPA, who welcomed the members into the party fold. He highlighted that the growing support reflects the people’s confidence in the PPA’s vision and commitment to regional development.

4th Edition Inter Church Sport Meet of Balijan Circle Kicks Off

Balijan, Nov β€” The 4th Edition of the Inter Church Sport Meet of Balijan Circle officially kicked off yesterday, bringing together church communities from across the region for a week-long celebration of sportsmanship and unity.

The event was inaugurated by MLA of 14th Doimukh Constituency, Nabam Vivek, who graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest. He was joined by T. G. Taba, a respected senior citizen of Balijan, who attended as the Guest of Honour.

This year’s edition features an exciting lineup of football matches and women's volleyball, with various churches participating to promote harmony, healthy competition, and youth engagement within the circle.

The organizing committee expressed confidence that the week-long event will further strengthen community bonds and encourage active participation among the youth of Balijan Circle.

34 BJP Members Join PPA in Balijan and Tubung Panchayat

In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming local body elections, 34 members from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formally joined the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) from Balijan and Tubung Panchayat.

The new members pledged their support to the official PPA ZPM candidate, Nabam Sina, strengthening the party’s grassroots presence in the region.

The joining program was held under the leadership of MLA cm State PPA President Nabam Vivek, who welcomed the new members and encouraged collective efforts toward strengthening regional identity and ensuring effective local governance.

Ms. Nabam Deepu Joins BJP After Being Denied PPA Ticket, Appeals Supporters to Stay United

In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming Panchayat elections, Ms. Nabam Deepu, who had earlier sought a PPA party ticket to contest for the ZPM seat from Vth Lower Balijan, has officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to sources, Ms. Deepu shifted her political stand after the PPA declined her ticket request. Following her induction into the BJP, she has now applied for the party’s ticket to contest the ZPM seat from the same constituency.

Children’s Day Celebrated at Govt. Upper Primary School, Lenka

Govt. Upper Primary School, Lenka celebrated Children’s Day today, paying homage to India’s first Prime Minister.

Daniel Boria, Accounts Officer, NEEPCO and school alumnus, attended as Chief Guest, while Nabam Sina, State PPA General Secretary Admin cm official PPA ZPM candidate from Vth Lower Balijan, was the Guest of Honour.

Representatives from the Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL), Balijan Block also took part, sharing information on financial schemes, policies, and awareness on banking frauds.

Prizes were awarded to students who participated in the week-long Children’s Day activities.

Addressing the students, Chief Guest Daniel Boria extended greetings and urged them to stay away from crime, highlighting rising issues of ragging, harassment, and molestation involving minors in Arunachal Pradesh.

Teli Taya Declared PPA ZPM Candidate from IV Upper Balijan, Sangdupota Circle

JOTE β€” In a major political development, Teli Taya of Sangdupota Circle has been officially declared as the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) contesting candidate for the Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) seat from IV Upper Balijan, Sangdupota Circle. The announcement was made today by MLA of 14th Doimukh Constituency cm State PPA President Nabam Vivek during a Mass Joining-cum-Candidate Declaration Programme held at Jote, Sangdupota Circle.

PPA Establishes First Ever Party Office at Hollongi for Balijan Circle Unit

In a significant organizational milestone, the People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) has officially established its first-ever party office at Hollongi under the Balijan Circle Unit.

The office was formally inaugurated by Nabam Doro, President In-charge of PPA 14th Doimukh Block, accompanied by Tarh Kasa, PRO to MLA of the 14th Doimukh Constituency and General Secretary of PPA 14th Doimukh Block.

Speaking on the occasion, Nabam Doro highlighted that the establishment of the office will strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and help in better coordination with local supporters and workers. He stated that PPA remains committed to promoting indigenous identity, regional political voices, and development rooted in local needs.

Tarh Kasa also expressed that the new office will serve as a platform for constructive dialogue and collective participation. He added that the party aims to engage youth and community leaders to work toward balanced growth in the Balijan area.

150th Year of Vande Mataram Observed at Balijan Subdivisional Headquarters

BALIJAN β€” The 150th year of the patriotic song Vande Mataram was observed today with a solemn and spirited gathering at the Balijan Subdivisional Headquarters. The event witnessed the participation of Gaon Buras, local NGOs, Self Help Groups (SHGs), students from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV) Balijan, along with senior citizens and community members.

The program aimed to honor the historical significance and cultural value of Vande Mataram, a song that has inspired generations during India’s struggle for independence and continues to uphold the spirit of unity and patriotism.

Speaking to Papum Pare News, Additional Deputy Commissioner Takar Rava highlighted the profound meaning of the song. He stated that Vande Mataram is not merely a patriotic chant but a tribute to the motherland β€” symbolizing devotion, respect, and the collective pride of every Indian.

β€œUnderstanding the essence of Vande Mataram helps us connect with the sacrifices and the ideals of our freedom fighters. It reminds us of our duty towards our nation and our community,” ADC Rava said.

The observance concluded with group singing of Vande Mataram, followed by a pledge to promote harmony, patriotism, and community welfare in Balijan.
