India has achieved an overall literacy rate of nearly 80% (2023–24), marking steady progress in education. However, a considerable section of adults—especially senior citizens—still remains outside the formal education system due to past limitations and circumstances. Recognizing that education is not bound by age, this initiative aims to bridge the literacy gap among adults aged 40 years and above.
The program provides free basic education in reading and writing, along with English and Hindi proficiency, to empower learners with confidence, dignity, self-reliance, and greater social participation. It is a humble yet meaningful step towards building a more informed, inclusive, and educated society.
