Gangtok District Crosses 80,000 Mark in Distribution of Enumeration Forms on Ninth Day of SIR 2026 Exercise
Gangtok, June 8 (IPR): Booth Level Officers (BLOs) across Gangtok District have continued the door-to-door distribution of Enumeration Forms (EFs) under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, reaching electors across urban, rural and remote areas of the district.
Special efforts have been made to reach Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and elderly electors who who are confined to their homes, ensuring their participation in the revision process. In several remote areas, BLOs have covered long distances and difficult terrain to deliver Enumeration Forms to every eligible elector.
The concerned BLOs of Tumen-Lingi Assembly Constituency have traversed remote and challenging terrain, including areas affected by recent landslides, to reach electors and distribute Enumeration Forms as part of the ongoing revision exercise.Their efforts have helped ensure that electors living in remote and hard-to-reach locations are not left out of the process.
As a result of these continued efforts, Gangtok District has crossed the 80,000 mark in the distribution of Enumeration Forms. As of today, 83,681 electors have been covered, accounting for 68.46 per cent of the district's total 1,22,240 electors.

The distribution and collection of Enumeration Forms through house-to-house visits by BLOs will continue till June 28, 2026.
