Nomo Buddhaya
Wishing you all Very Happy Vesak Purnima Day.
I extended my message to all in this Buddha Day.
May you become wealthy but not arrogant.
Even if you are poor, may you still value your dignity.
When in a high position, be kind to those below.
If in a lower position, be diligent and patient.
No matter how much wealth you accumulate,
do not forget to give and make merit to cultivate virtue.
Do not harm others out of selfishness.
Do not become so careless in pleasure that you forget virtue and Dhamma.
Be a person of truth—speak honestly, act sincerely, and be punctual.
Understand cause and effect, and choose your companions wisely.
Practice moderation in consumption and spending.
Be humble and never arrogant.
Among others, appear modest—even foolish—never boast of your intelligence.
But when alone, be truly wise—do not be foolish!
Have mindfulness and wisdom in actions, speech, and thoughts.
Learn to forgive, to sacrifice, and to let go.
If we can do this, it means we have guarded ourselves well.
In the Dhamma, it is assured that such a person goes to a good destination, on a good path.
Happiness in this life, and happiness after leaving it.
Certainly, one will not fall into a bad realm.
