"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth"
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of our school successfully organized a Special Three-Day Camp with the objective of promoting social awareness, community service, and teamwork among the volunteers. The camp was filled with productive activities, meaningful interactions, and learning experiences that enriched the students’ sense of responsibility and service.
Day 1: Counselling Sessions by Police and Health Departments
The camp began with an inspiring inaugural session, followed by informative counselling programmes.
Officers from the Police Department conducted an interactive session focusing on safety awareness, cyber safety, road rules, and discipline. Their guidance helped students understand the importance of being responsible citizens.
This was followed by a valuable counselling session by the Health Department, where officials educated the volunteers on personal hygiene, first-aid awareness, mental well-being, nutrition, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The session encouraged students to adopt healthy habits and extend these learnings to the community.
Day 2: Construction of Water Pavilion
The second day emphasized service through action. NSS volunteers enthusiastically took part in the construction of a Water Pavilion at the Mid-Day Meal Centre. The activity promoted teamwork, dedication, and social responsibility, providing a sustainable facility that will benefit the students of the school for a long time. The hands-on experience also taught the volunteers the value of hard work and collective effort.
After the successful completion of the task, all volunteers were treated to a hearty and warm lunch, marking a satisfying end to a productive day.
The NSS Special Three-Day Camp proved to be an enriching programme that strengthened unity, imparted practical knowledge, and motivated students to continue their journey of service to society.
Do all the good you can, for all the people you can ,in all the ways you can.
