Deputy Commissioner Dr Rakesh Minhas had a meeting with civil society members today at district headquarters.

He warned against vested interests trying to disturb peace and social harmony, stressing that disruptive elements or those misusing social media to spread hate will face strict action. He also urged youth and citizens to lead in preserving harmony.

Tenant verification with police before renting or hiring was stressed. On traffic woes, he pledged systematic remedies ahead of festivals. Other major issues also came under discussion.
