DGP J&K, Sh. Nalin Prabhat, IPS, visits RPHQ Batote, conducts review of operations.

Ramban July 18, 2025 –
Director General of Police, J&K, Sh. Nalin Prabhat -IPS visited Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Batote to review the security, law and order situation, and administrative readiness in the Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range.

He was received by DIG DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil-IPS, along with the SSP Ramban, SSP Traffic NHW, and other senior officers.

A detailed review meeting was held to assess deployment for SANJY–2025, highway security, and anti-terrorist operations. The DGP lauded the efforts of civil and police administration in ensuring a peaceful Yatra till now and emphasised to ensure peaceful conduct of it. He stressed on strengthening of intelligence grid and focused attention on conducting successful operations.

The visit reinforced the significance of inter-agency coordination in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

conducted training sessions for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as part of the preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Photo Electoral Rolls for 2025, in both Ramban and Banihal Assembly Constituencies.

In Assembly Constituency (AC)-55 Banihal, a total of 127 BLOs were trained, while in AC-54 Ramban, 90 BLOs were trained across two batches. The training sessions will continue tomorrow for the remaining BLOs to ensure complete coverage and proper understanding of the revised guidelines.

Ramban Police Organized ‘BHAROSA’ Awareness Programme at Batote

Ramban, July 16, 2025:
Under the directions of SSP Ramban Shri Kulbir Singh-JKPS, an awareness programme was today organized by Ramban Police at Ward number 04 Batote Town, under the ongoing initiative *“Bharosa”,* aimed at empowering women and spreading awareness about their legal rights and available protections.

The event was conducted by the lady PSI Simran Sharma and Lady PSI Priya Sambyal of Police Station Batote , who sensitized the participating women on critical issues such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, cybercrime and dowry related offences. The sessions were focused on educating the participants about legal remedies, helplines, and the functioning of Women Help Desk at the Police Station.

During the programme, the Lady Police Officials interacted with the women in an open engaging and confidence-building environment, encouraging them to speak up against any form of abuse and to understand their rights and responsibilities.

The “Bharosa” initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of Ramban Police towards building a safe, aware and empowered community for women. Such programmes are being continuously organized across the District to instill confidence and a sense of security among women and girls, ensuring that they feel supported by the Police in every situation.

PIPPING CEREMONY HELD AT DISTRICT POLICE OFFICE RAMBAN.

The pipping ceremony at the District Police Office Ramban marks a significant milestone in the careers of the newly promoted Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs). Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Sh. Kulbir Singh-JKPS, led the ceremony, inducting and decorating the promotees with their new ranks.

The event was attended by DySP Hqrs, DySP PC, DySP DAR, and SHO Ramban, who congratulated the newly promoted ASIs and wished them well in their future endeavors.
