*Interstate narcotic smuggler arrested*



J&K Police of Udhampur district recovered 38 KG Poppy Straw

Jammu, April, 01st: Udhampur police today recovered 38 kilogram of poppy straw from narcotic smuggler at Udhampur.

The accused has been identified as Ashok Massi S/O Harbans Massi R/O Gurdaspur, Punjab.

Reports said that police party of PS Rehambal and PP Tikri laid a naka at Tikri, Udhampur for checking of vehicles. During naka checking, police party stopped one truck bearing registration No. PB06AS 9793 which was subjected to thorough search. During search of said vehicle, 38 kg poppy straw was recovered from said vehicle.

The narcotic smuggler was arrested and case FIR No. 55/19 U/S 8/15 NDPS stands registered in PS Rehambal .

Bhalla condemns Pak for targeting civilians in Poonch Sector



Former Minister and Congress candidate for Jammu Poonch Loksabha seat Raman Bhalla today strongly condemned unprovoked firing from Pakistan today resulting in causality of 9 years old girl and serious injury to 2 dozen peoples besides martyrdom of Army officer. He slammed Pakistan for targeting civilians which is highly unethical and intolerable. Further he said that it is resulting of weak foreign policy of Modi government that Pakistan daring again and again to target our civilians in border areas. He said tall claims of NDA government stands exposed which had promised that Pakistan would be taught lesson and ceasefire violation will end. But unfortunately during NDA rule ceasefire violation increased 400% resulting in mass causality of civilians besides huge loss to property of people of Border area. He asked the Governor administration to give best possible treatment to injured in firing and also suitable compensation to the family members of Pak firing victims.
