J&K Bank Sanctions 40 Cases Under Mission YUVA Udan in Samba District

Samba, July 17:
In a significant move to foster youth entrepreneurship and self-employment, the J&K Bank, in collaboration with District Administration Samba, today sanctioned 40 loan cases under the Mission YUVA Udan initiative. The sanction distribution ceremony was held at Samba and was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sh. Rajesh Sharma (JKAS).

The event witnessed the presence of Mr. Sunit Kumar, Divisional Head and General Manager, J&K Bank; Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Zonal Head; Mr. Sanjay Belowo, Cluster Head; and Mr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Director Employment, among other bank officials and branch managers.

Deputy Commissioner Samba handed over the sanction letters to the beneficiaries and lauded J&K Bank for facilitating speedy loan disbursement under the scheme. He emphasized the transformative role the Mission YUVA Scheme is playing in empowering the youth of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Divisional Head of J&K Bank highlighted that Samba district currently leads the Union Territory in terms of the highest number of sanctioned cases under the scheme. Beneficiaries were encouraged to utilize the loan amount judiciously and ensure timely repayment.

The Zonal Head J&K Bank proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating the proactive efforts of the District Administration and Employment Department. He reaffirmed J&K Bank’s commitment to sustaining its leadership position in youth-oriented financial inclusion.

The event concluded with an interactive session between the dignitaries and the beneficiaries.

SSP SAMBA PINS RANK TO NEWLY PROMOTED ASIs

Samba July 14, 2025: SSP Samba Virinder Singh Manhas pinned new rank on the five newly promoted Assistant Sub Inspectors of Samba Police in a pipping ceremony held at District Police Headquarters Samba.

The officers who were promoted from the rank of Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub Inspectors include Angrej Singh, Krishan Lal, M A Katoch, Surjeet Singh and M A Shan.

The pipping ceremony was attended by Addl. SP Samba and other officers of District Police Samba.

SSP Samba congratulated the promoted officers & their families and expressed hope that they would continue to work with the same zeal and dedication in future also.

वन विभाग द्वारा लकड़ी की अवेध तस्करी को रोका।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार वन विभाग ने आज तड़के 4 बजे पुरमंडल रेंज की टीम ने केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के पास से खैर की लकड़ी से लदा एक निजी वाहन संख्या Jk02T 0721 जब्त किया।
जब्ती के दौरान तस्करों और वन विभाग की टीम के बीच झड़प हुई, जिसमें तस्करों ने तेजदार हथियारों से एफजीडी मोहम्मद रफीक और सुनील कुमार डीआरडब्ल्यू को घायल कर दिया। हालाँकि, वन विभाग की टीम ने लदे वाहन को सफलतापूर्वक जब्त कर लिया और ऐक डिपो ले आई।
तस्कर की पहचान शब्बीर पुत्र शाह मोहम्मद, प्रभारी बीट गार्ड चिरक 2 के रूप में हुई है। पुरमंडल के एसएचओ को एफआईआर दर्ज करने और आरोपी को गिरफ्तार करने का अनुरोध किया गया है। कृषि विज्ञान और सामाजिक वानिकी के अधिकारियों ने भी ऑपरेशन के दौरान क्षेत्रीय टीम की सहायता की।

SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS ABSCONDER WANTED IN A CASE REGISTERED UNDER NDPS ACT

Samba, July 10, 2025: In continuation to its drive against the Absconders/Criminals, Samba Police apprehended an absconder wanted in a case registered under NDPS Act at Police Station Samba during the year 2012 and was evading his arrest for the last three years after issuance of arrest warrant against him by the Hon’ble Court Samba.

A Police team of Police Post Mansar of PS Samba succeeded in apprehending an absconder namely Altaf Ahmed S/o Ghulam Qadir R/o Charawa Mansar district Samba wanted in case FIR No. 246/2012 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at PS Samba.

Accordingly, the said absconder was produced in the court of law and fine to the tune of rupees 10000.00 was imposed by the Hon'ble court. Thus the arrest warrant u/s 512 CrPC issued against him got executed.
