U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams delivered a stern rebuke to Donald Trump's lawsuit against the IRS concerning the leak of his tax returns.

Key points of the ruling:
Lawsuit filed for "improper purpose"
Described as an attempt "to use the courts to legitimize a deal" that grants immunity to Trump, his family, & allies
"The answer is a resounding ‘no.’" - The court cannot be used for that

Case: Trump sued the IRS for failing to prevent the leak of tax returns. After returning to office, his administration negotiated a "deal with itself" which included: protecting Trump & his family from tax audits + creating a $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund."

The judge also referred attorney Alejandro Brito to the Florida Bar. Daniel Epstein was barred from practicing for 1 year in the S. District of Florida.

The government had already canceled the $1.776 billion fund after bipartisan criticism.
