A little over a year ago, I got a call from Idah-having been referred to me by her group leader for empoweredwomen, Ms Sibonokuhle Buhlung. She was organizing a book launch for a remarkable 12-year-old author and thought I’d be a fitting speaker, being in my mid-twenties with two books already out. I said yes, not knowing that one event would spark a whole new story.

After the launch, Idah got a copy of Juggling Life(my first book)… and in just 8 hours, she’d read over 100 pages. That kind of hunger for words isn’t something you ignore. I saw it. I felt it. So I told her-you’ve got something too... you should write.

What followed were countless phone calls, voice notes, conversations that stretched into the night. And slowly, her story began to take shape.

Today, over a year later, I’ve had the honor of editing her manuscript, publishing her first book, and standing beside her as she launched it into the world.

Idah, you’ve done it. You turned the dream into pages, and the pages into a voice that others will hear. Congratulations, author. This is your beginning and what a beautiful one it is.
