যখন স্ক্রিনের আলোয় হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে পাতার গন্ধ

স্মার্টফোনের নীল আলো আজ প্রতিটি মানুষের হাতের মুঠোয়। প্রশ্ন জাগে অনেকের মনে—বইয়ের দিন কি তবে সত্যিই ফুরিয়ে এলো? কিন্তু বাস্তবতা বলে ভিন্ন কথা। প্রযুক্তি আমাদের পৌঁছে দেয় তথ্যের কাছে, আর বই নিয়ে যায় জ্ঞানের গভীরে, চিন্তার বিস্তৃত আকাশে, আত্মার নিভৃত শান্তির কাছে।

একটি বই যা শুধু গল্প নয়

ভালো বই কখনও কেবল কাহিনি বলে না। সে আমাদের ভাবতে শেখায়, অনুভব করতে শেখায়, জীবনকে নতুন দৃষ্টিতে দেখতে শেখায়। শৈশবের রূপকথা থেকে কৈশোরের অভিযানের রোমাঞ্চ, যৌবনের সাহিত্যপাঠ থেকে বার্ধক্যের স্মৃতিকথা—জীবনের প্রতিটি বাঁকে বই থাকে বিশ্বস্ত সঙ্গী হয়ে।

বাংলা বইয়ের চিরন্তন সুর

রবীন্দ্রনাথ, নজরুল, শরৎচন্দ্র, বিভূতিভূষণ, জীবনানন্দ—এবং তাঁদের উত্তরসূরি সমকালীন লেখকদের কলমে বাঙালির ইতিহাস, সংস্কৃতি ও জীবনবোধ যেন প্রাণ পায়। মাতৃভাষায় পড়ার যে আনন্দ, তা অন্য কোনো ভাষায় সম্পূর্ণ অনুভব করা যায় না—এ এক নিবিড় আত্মীয়তার অনুভূতি।

ধৈর্যের পাঠশালা

সামাজিক মাধ্যমের ক্ষণস্থায়ী চমকের ভিড়ে বই আমাদের শেখায় ধৈর্য, মনোযোগ আর গভীর চিন্তার অভ্যাস। তাই প্রতিদিন সামান্য সময় হলেও বই পড়ার অভ্যাস গড়ে তোলা আজ জরুরি হয়ে উঠেছে।

একটি ভালো বই কেবল সময় কাটায় না—সে মানুষকে সমৃদ্ধ করে, ব্যক্তিত্ব গড়ে তোলে, আর হয়ে ওঠে সারাজীবনের নির্ভরযোগ্য বন্ধু। প্রযুক্তির এই যুগেও তাই বাংলা বইয়ের আলো নিভে যাওয়ার নয়—বরং তা নতুন প্রজন্মের হাত ধরে আরও উজ্জ্বল হয়ে উঠবে।
