She can't say the truth.

Bisma Fareed, a first-year English (Hons) student at Delhi University’s Hansraj College, recently took to LinkedIn to share her frustration over being unable to land an internship despite an impressive academic record. In her post, Bisma revealed she’s a consistent topper with over 50 certificates, 10 medals, and 10 trophies — yet she’s faced repeated rejections while applying for internships.

She admitted it took her time to realise that skills and practical experience hold more value than marks. “All my professors and elders told me to focus on studies — ‘padhai kaam aayegi, ye nahi.’ But in reality, companies aren’t looking for toppers who can recite answers, they want people who can deliver,” she wrote.
