The SDNx Space City Design Challenge is an annual design competition for 9th-12th grade students organised by Space Development Nexus. This contest is open to students ages upto eighteen from anywhere in the world. Individuals compete as individuals or part of a team in two categories, in teams of up to six students, and in teams of seven or more students.
The goal of this contest is to have students learn about science and teamwork while working on projects to develop space settlement designs. Students submit a report about their designs to SDNx, and the reports are judged by aerospace professionals. Awards are given for artistic and literary merit as well. The director and head of the event is Mr. Harsh*t Sharma along with the founder of SDNx Mr. Sanjay Rathee .
This annual contest, organised by Space Development Nexus is for all students up to 12th grade (18 years old) from anywhere in the world. Individuals, small teams of two to five, and large teams of six or more are judged separately. Entries are also grouped by age/grade of the oldest contestant for judging. The age groups are 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th. The grand prize is awarded to the best entry regardless of contestant age. Students develop space settlement designs and related materials. These are sent to Space Development Nexus for judgement.

Great team work from past 4 months ,Finally design is ready for submission the Mars city design team, Angeles ,USA- THE INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION PLATFORM FOR CREATING CITIES ON MARS.
"Together, we will make first city on Mars, A Real Place"



Our team consists of various student and non-student members, we are young people with immense passion for any space related activity, we are always willing to stretch our boundaries when it comes to learning and gaining knowledge and we are all a part of an NGO called ‘Space Development Nexus’ that offers enthusiasts like us perform activities related to space science and show our talent to the world.
We are all very glad we could participate and showcase our ideas and research in such an event.
Why Participating in Mars City Design Challenge ?
Earth is getting over populated. We are exhausting all the available natural resources so soon mankind race will have to face many problems if we go on continuing to live like this, in order to save the race and to come up with a better way to live and create a whole new way of living and designing this city this competition is an excellent platform to put my ideas towards it.

We don’t know when earth is going to be destroyed, We being the most intelligent of animals to ever have set foot on earth must ensure that the human race must continue. Mars seems to be a feasible option. Hence Designing the city might become a necessity in the coming future, hence it must be given utmost importance. We were born on earth, we were never meant to die here !
