Over the past decade, the fourth National family health survey (NFHS- 4) 2015-16 reveals that a dramatic decline in underage marriages with women found to be marrying late even though the trend for men seems to be the reverse, reports the Times of India. This is said to be due to waves of women empowerment which have signaled positive indicators even for literacy, financial means and female health.

Though, the POCSO Act is already enacted in the Global context since 2012, the Supreme Court asked Parliament on Monday to consider “harsher” punishment for child sexual abuse, molestation and r**e but refused to direct the Centre to include chemical castration as an additional penalty for such convicts.
As reported by the Hindustan Times, Mishra spoke on the issue of castration with the senior advocate Mahalakshmi Pavani by quoting that, "Laws should never be made on emotions or sentiments or in a knee jerk reaction."

“No one discusses the dignity and honour of a man as all are fighting for the rights of women. Laws for the protection of women are being made but where is the law to protect a man from such a women, where he is being persecuted and implicated in false case……Perhaps, now it is the time to take a stand” says Nivedita Anil Sharma.
A women who had alleged that she was repeatedly r**ed by a lawyer in his chamber inside the complex of a district from 2010-2012. However, she retracted from her complaint while deposing in court, confessing that he was innocent and she had lodged a complaint against him out of anger.

The Delhi Police has published their annual report shows alarming facts pertaining to Crime Against Women and Children.

POLICE HAVE SOLVED ONLY 27% CASES IN 2015!!!
Police statistics show a total of 1.82 lakh cases reported till December, 2015; a r**e was reported every four hours and a molestation case every two hours in the National Capital.
The number of R**e cases grew up by 0.48% from 2014 while cases of molestation saw an increase by 24.15% to 5,192 cases.
