The Film School at the New York Film Academy was founded in 1992 on a belief that a top quality education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films. The New York Film Academy was founded on the philosophy that “learning by doing” combined with best industry practices which is more valuable than years of theoretical study for filmmakers and actors. This educational model allows students to achieve more in less time at all other film or acting schools in the world. Today, the New York Film Academy is considered one of the most prominent fixtures of film education in the world. Steven Speilberg, Al Pacino, Robert Downey Jr., Jamie Foxx are many figures in the film industry who are associated with NYFA.
